I'm pleased to announce I am a 2019 semi-finalist for the Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Fiction for my short story: "The Sifter." Another step towards the goal of someday being published. Grateful for this and now even more encouraged to keep on writing.

Hi beautiful people! Trying to grow some twitter legs here. Searching for a community to connect, collaborate, and grow with. Currently on draft 3 of my first book and working on some short stories. I’ve heard #writerscommunity is the place to be. Drop me a line. Let’s connect!

This is how it starts, people.
It’s not a big, iconic or ‘sexy’ species and it won’t get much coverage in the media but this is important. The Bramble Cay melomys is now extinct ... the first mammal to be declared extinct due to human-caused climate change. Don’t let this go unnoticed.

Stayed up until 3am last night finishing @nkjemisin’s absolutely incredible Broken Earth Trilogy. Happily sleep deprived today! Truly inspiring. Grateful that I had that writing as my constant companion over the last few months.

Maybe THAT’S why GOP media is so scared of us.
