The decades of service rendered by Daily Wagers and Casual Labourers in Jammu & Kashmir cannot continue to be met with uncertainty and unfulfilled assurances. Their demands for regularisation, a fair and revised wage structure, timely salary disbursement, job security and a dignified future are genuine and long overdue.
I stand firmly in solidarity with these hardworking employees and support their peaceful struggle for justice. Those who have dedicated the prime years of their lives to public service deserve more than promises. They deserve dignity, security and concrete action.
The government must rise to the occasion and address their long-pending grievances with sincerity, sensitivity and urgency. Justice delayed for these workers is justice denied to their families.

“THE CULT OF SELF”
I watched CM sahib talking to the media after meeting LG sahib. What a contemptuous and disdainful way of asking his party MLAs to not pester him for a ministerial berth.
I honestly can’t believe that these MLAs are comfortable with such belittling and humiliating remarks. If you are unable to accommodate them in the cabinet, you can spare them from public humiliation.
Anyway these are the internal party matters and I should not have commented. But there is always a spillover. You may direct the derision at your own members but it invariably belittles the political class.
I wonder how these elected members face their electors when they know they are treated like unworthy and incapable school boys.
Tasha Eurich in her book writes about the “The Power of Self-Awareness in a Self-Deluded World”. Somebody desperately needs to read it. Somebody is certainly self-deluded.
“The least competent people are usually the most confident in their abilities”, She writes.
And to the Honourable elected MLAs who act like bonded labour and who it seems are immune to humiliation. Spare the political class from this belittlement. We deserve better: @sajadlone

A horrific healthcare collapse in #Gurez has claimed the lives of a mother and her newborn baby, yet the administration remains in a deep, shameless slumber. Sub District Hospital Gurez has NO active Operation Theatre NO Gynecologist and NO basic life-saving facilities. Critical female patients are forced to endure a hazardous, life-threatening journey to Bandipora just for basic surgeries.
Amidst this devastating crisis, local MLA @NazirGurezi is busy staging fake inaugurations and selling hollow promises for media photo-ops. The people of Gurez are completely done with the toxic cosmetic governance of @JKNC_ led by @OmarAbdullah is silent, indifferent administration.
Standing against this absolute tyranny Mohd Humza Lone, @JKPCOfficial Gurez Incharge and Coordinator, has been on a resolute Hunger Strike for the past 3 days. We don't want your political stunts or PR campaigns anymore! Deliver immediate medical infrastructure, active operation theatres & specialist doctors now.
We request the urgent personal intervention of LG @manojsinha_ ji @OfficeOfLGJandK & Prin Secy @HealthMedicalE1 to stop this state-sponsored negligence and save innocent lives! Fix this broken system now.

with the law, could be dealt with through child-friendly institutions rather than being left without dedicated legal and welfare safeguards.
Lone also criticised the growing reliance on outsourcing within the child protection system, alleging that the approach gained momentum during Central rule and was subsequently pursued even more aggressively by the elected government that assumed office in 2024.
“It is unimaginable for an outsourced employee to stand up to a police officer of a senior rank and fight for a minor,” he warned, questioning whether an outsourced workforce could provide the independence and institutional resolve required to defend vulnerable children against powerful authorities.
Anticipating attempts to deflect responsibility, Lone rejected the possibility of shifting the blame to the absence of Transaction of Business Rules (TOBR) or to files allegedly referred to the Centre. He insisted that the responsibility for ensuring the timely constitution of the boards and committees rested with the elected government.
“Now please don’t come back to say that TOBR is not there. Or that we have sent the file to Centre. They have no role,” he said.
Concluding his criticism, Lone said the consequences of administrative inaction were being borne by the most vulnerable, warning that the failure to maintain essential child protection institutions had left children exposed at a time when they most needed legal protection, institutional support and timely intervention.
“It is our children and the elected government is failing them,” he said.
