After our amazing RISE conference, as a network we are determined to continue to provide opportunities to hear the stories and experiences of one another. Story telling can be so impactful and I look forward to reading the responses to our latest article @SomersetCouncil
A truly fantastic day ✨
We’re buzzing after an inspirational day exploring ideas around increasing inclusivity and equality.
Well done and thank you to everyone involved in our first RISE network staff conference.
Special thanks to our guest speakers from @ASPolice and @BristolCouncil
A thought provoking, difficult at times, but super important conference today. We listened to the personal experiences of staff, what neighbouring councils are doing, and created a plan to move this forward. Let’s turn conversation into action @SomersetCouncil
It’s been in its planning stages for months but today we host our very own RISE Network Conference. We have guest speakers and stall holders joining us too. I’m hoping for an impactful day for Somerset @SomersetCouncil

What an absolutely incredible welcome from our Camden colleagues. Welcoming our differences and what brings us into social work. An incredible start to the final session of the #carnivalofpractice
Day 4 of #carnivalofpractice with @schoolofshabs has been so insightful.
Some questions we may want to ask ourselves:
- How safe and comfortable do you feel to talk about racism/race?
- How many potatoes do you have in your sack of privilege? #identity #whoami
Thank you @sukisue01 🤍 #alwayssosupportive
