This #WorldObesityDayEurope we need to question the validity of addressing & treating the cluster of diseases which partially make up metabolic syndrome without including the disease of obesity? Only by addressing any syndrome as a whole can lives be improved.
At our @ICPObesity night last week combined with @ASOIreland could we see the importance of working together to create a fuller picture. A big thank you also goes out to @ECPObesity for helping to ensure it happened. #AddressingObesityTogether

Access to care is still lacking in many countries this #ObesityDayEurope. Perhaps speak to your own local politicians asking questions as to why this lifelong disease is ignored within your own Healthcare System. If enough voices ask these questions, someone will hopefully answer
Recognition by health systems that #obesity is a chronic disease is shifting thinking around access to care.
