Ahhh …. Members of Congress are shielded by the “Speech or Debate Clause,” Article 1 Section 1 Clause 1. A cornerstone of American liberty. When they stand on the floor of the House or Senate, when they vote, speak, or debate, they do so without fear of arrest or retaliation—a protection designed to keep the engine of democracy running, unshackled by outside pressures. This is not a loophole. It is a sacred guarantee: the law cannot silence lawmakers for doing their jobs. Yet this protection is carefully balanced—it covers only legislative acts, not crimes committed outside the halls of Congress. It exists so that the people’s representatives can speak boldly, challenge power, and fight for the nation without hesitation. In essence, it is a reminder that democracy demands courage, and courage demands protection.

How weird, because I am from a rather large family, my parents had none of those things and yet they managed to handle that all of that just fine. If YOU want children, you have to make sacrifices. The US Government is not financially responsible for you and your family!
