🚁Practice makes perfect!
🤩This has to be one of the most unique and truly skilful manoeuvres I have seen in a helicopter, with blades inches from the ground.
The French @Gendarmerie display this unique technique in their @AirbusHeli H145 in the mountainous Alps environment.

Thank you to everyone involved in Operation Mirren - the emergency exercise which took place inverness airport on Friday. A great example of local and regional emergency agencies training together. Thank you to our volunteer casualties who helped to make it look so realistic.

This festive period, Ambulance, Police, Fire & Coastguard crews stood shoulder to shoulder, day and night, rain or shine, doing what they always do… showing up when it matters most.
From blue lights on quiet roads to cold winds at sea, your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed. ❤️

Our @HMCoastguard rescue helicopter recently landed in the Mudeford Quay car park! 🚁
Imagine trying to explain that one to the parking attendant. "Yeah, I know I haven't paid and displayed, but I'm kind of in a helicopter..." 😂

This year, as every year, our Shetland crew paid tribute to his memory.
Weather conditions delayed the flight but, when skies cleared this afternoon the crew flew to Billy's memorial cairn on the Isle of Bressay.

Today we remember the courage & sacrifice of #Coastguard Winchman Billy Deacon.
28 years ago today, he tragically gave his life, while rescuing the crew of the Green Lily. He saved 10 lives that day, but lost his own moments after ensuring the last crew members were safe. #Hero

Helicopter R936's crew from Caernarfon awarded the prestigious Prince Phillip Helicopter Rescue Award for the second-year running 🏅
It was received for their lifesaving work in extreme weather, zero visibility and challenging conditions during a rescue in Snowdonia.

ALT Four men in formal attire stand in a wood-panelled room are holding certificates and smiling towards the camera. They are the crew from HM Coastguard helicopter R936 as they receive certificates for the Prince Phillip Helicopter Rescue Award. Coats of arms are visible hanging from the wall in the background and they appear to be part of an award ceremony.
