Nigeria's JR farms Signs $60m Partnership Agreement With Liberian Govt to Develop Coffee Value Chain My people at @JRFarmsGroup just checked a new milestone, signed agreement, valued at N81.6 billion, to help revive Liberia's coffee industry, expand their agricultural exports and create more than 300,000 jobs over the next 20 years. More than 250,000 hectares of coffee plantations will be developed across Liberia, while at least 200 million coffee trees are expected to be planted. The initiative is projected to benefit over 200,000 farmers and stimulate significant growth across the country’s coffee value chain. Liberia, known globally for its distinctive Liberica coffee variety, possesses favourable climatic conditions and fertile soils suitable for the cultivation of Liberica, Arabica and Robusta coffee. The government has identified coffee as one of the strategic crops expected to drive agricultural transformation, economic diversification and export growth.
