"I don’t want Jared Kushner to be investigated because he’s the president’s son-in-law. I want him investigated because he’s potentially laundered and embezzled $2 billion dollars in funds from the governments of Saudi Arabia and the UAE. I don’t want Stephen Miller investigated because he’s a racist ghoul who’s at the center of the Trump brain trust. I want him investigated because he’s a racist ghoul who has violated the due-process rights of millions of people and, potentially, directly violated court orders. I don’t want Pete Hegseth investigated because he’s a toxic psychopath who is unqualified to lead America’s military forces. I want him investigated because he’s a fucking murderer who needs to spend the rest of his life in jail, either in this country or The Hague." thenation.com/article/politi…

Mamdani: Our job is not to lecture Americans on the choices that they've made. Our job is to listen, and then our job is to lead, and now we have the opportunity to lead with a mandate the likes of which we haven't seen in our country for generations, and that is an opportunity to deliver the kind of change that Americans can feel…

In addition to the crass ineptitude that’s led to massive civilian deaths, and to the targeting that constitutes clear war crimes, please don’t omit the maritime murder of “suspected” drug traffickers the glaring disregard for Habeas corpus that is also a hallmark of ICE.

#DemsUnited When you cast your vote remember this video. The terror that rained down on our country that day was brought on by Trump. He loved it and he dismissed it. He released these people from prison and they're all on their way back. Vote blue everybody!
'Patriots’ using the flag to beat police January 6th 2021 Vote and make them accountable, not pardoned ICE officers! I will keep on posting this till over the midterm elections

Imagine not being able to vote for your own daughter...this is a crazy story from Texas. Ask 5 friends to vote blue, and ask them to do the same. That's how you start a chain reaction. We're taking back our country!

🚨 WOW: Rep. Jim Himes reveals to Ben Meiselas that lawmakers have WAR-GAMED potential Election Day chaos involving Elon Musk. Himes warns Musk has the power to manipulate social media algorithms and spread false voting claims that could provoke armed groups to show up at polling places. “I'm looking at you here, Elon Musk...We're watching very closely.”

This is deeply troubling. We just learned that Pete Hegseth’s Spiritual Advisor said that “separation of church and state does not exist” Pete Hegseth is a threat to American democracy and must be fired immediately.

Early voting starts today in Texas and South Carolina. You get to fire senators. You will never get a vote on John Roberts, the man who gave presidents immunity for official acts. Most people don’t know Congress can remove him. Now you do.

According to The Economist: "It appears to have come from a small circle around the president, Mr Musk and Steve Witkoff, the special envoy to Russia. Reports suggest Mr Musk wanted to punish Ukraine for striking Russian refineries. One official says he contacted the White House only after imposing the restrictions." If true, this suggests Elon Musk imposed the terminal-speed restrictions unilaterally, before notifying the White House. Congress must urgently investigate whether Musk acted without government authorization. It is unacceptable for a private citizen to exercise unilateral control over a vital military capability. Starshield is a defense system, and decisions to restrict its operational capabilities should rest with the appropriate government authorities, not the CEO of a private contractor. This should alarm everyone. The America-Ukraine link grows even spottier economist.com/europe/2026/10…

US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska. According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary. Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February. Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine. The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives. The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia. According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate. The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing. The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company. Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same. ft.com/content/e9cfbfbb-e65a…

Don’t give Hegseth any ideas for soldiers with normal T. (or the wrong ratios, facial hair, waist lines etc).

10 years ago today @HillaryClinton nailed the bleak future ahead if Trump was elected. “Clinton: Putin would rather have a puppet as president. You won't admit the Russians engaged in cyberattacks against the US, that you encouraged espionage against our people, that you spout the Putin line, sign up for his wish list, break up NATO, do whatever he wants you to do.” Every word is true. Tragically, his capitulation to Russia is even worse than imagined.

Being an exceptionally talented musician is one thing. But to stand before such high-caliber fellow musicians, a large audience, and cameras—all while remaining composed, communicating skillfully and effectively, showing genuine enjoyment, and staying focused on the creative process—that is what truly amazes me.

Excellent NYT Opinion piece by Maureen Dowd, however, audio version has very perseptively excised the second half of this sentence (and they certainly don’t want that noted in Comments. This isn’t a conspiracy theory, just an observation.

Oh Andy, pseudo physician, pseudo politician. Here’s a trigger for ya: HEALTHCARE IS A HUMAN RIGHT and The first amendment is actually a thing.
Republican Rep. Andy Harris incorrectly told a reporter they were breaking the law as the reporter and others recorded an exchange with him last night. Harris had just wrapped up a debate with Democratic challenger Dan Schwartz.
