A Florida jury today convicted Robert Kessler, the man in the "Philly cheesesteak" plea offer, of murder and abuse of a body, and Judge Nick Nazaretian sentenced him to life in prison.
"I didn't appreciate that statement, that comical statement about that stupid cheesesteak. That was that was inappropriate and it was rude. ... You want to go have a cheesesteak? Good luck with that, because you're going to Florida state prison."

In a statement to @AlphaNews, Hennepin County confirmed it forwarded the concern to the city clerk in Rogers for review.

Huge great white shark approaches surfers off California and splashes one with its tail ā apparently just for fun
An unusual encounter near Pismo Beach was captured by drone operator David Steiner. The footage shows a shark approaching a man on a surfboard, suddenly turning around and slapping the water with its tail, splashing the surfer.
The predator then swims back out into the ocean.
Steiner described the incident as one of the most remarkable shark encounters he has ever filmed.

A trans child predator from Virginia Beach, Va. has been federally sentenced to 25 years in prison for recording sāxual content of underage boys.
Joseph Downing Barnes Jr., a registered sāx offender with a prior conviction for distributing child sāx abuse material (CSAM), identifies as a female and used the online alias "Nymphie."
Barnes pretended to be a woman by exposing his breasts to the boys he groomed and asked them to do sāxual acts on camera, which he recorded.
The victims were as young as 10.
