THE 3RD ANNUAL CLEVELAND CUP: THE NORTHEAST’S PERSPECTIVE Every year, Exodus Pro assembles some of the best professional wrestlers in the region for a 5-on-5 elimination match that, depending on the year, has been called several different things. In the interest of historical accuracy and pretending we planned this all along, it is officially THE 3RD ANNUAL #CLEVELANDCUP. This year, they could have saved everyone the trouble... trouble... whatever. With @MostMarketable holding the MIDWEST CHAMPIONSHIP like a souvenir from a conquered territory, the geographical argument has already been settled. “The best professional wrestlers in the world come from the Northeast because I’m the best professional wrestler in the world and I’m from the Northeast.” - Richard Holliday @alternative_ag agrees. “YEA!” - Anthony Greene #ShotThroughTheHeart (@LoveDoug_ & @TJCWrestling) have the hair, the hips, the lips... and apparently enough audacity to drop EC3 with a DATENIGHT. Then behave like they improved Cleveland aesthetically just being here. “He may be the worst DATE I ever had.” - Love Doug “AND HE’S UGLY. TRUST ME.” - TJ @Hayden_Backlund, the new NWA JR. HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION and Gen-Z D-Bag success story, will anchor the Northeast. “Exodus has been a tremendous resource for advancing my career. I intend to continue exploiting that resource for as long as they remain stupid enough to book me.” - Hayden Backlund Together, they represent THE NORTHEAST. THE REGION responsible for Wall Street, Harvard, the American Revolution and, according to these five, professional wrestling. While Cleveland has contributed a burning river, several decades of sports trauma and a brand new, three-year-old CUP that the Northeast will give a better home. Anywhere but CLEVELAND.
