Pleased to share my article published in Greek in the November 2026 issue of Epikaira, a Greek political and current affairs magazine: “The Türkiye–Libya Maritime Deal: When Bilateral Ambitions Challenge Regional Interests.” I examine the agreement’s implications for the Eastern Mediterranean, where maritime rights intersect with energy and investment interests, and explore how the Egypt–Greece partnership can support stability and wider regional cooperation grounded in international law and respect for neighbouring states’ rights. @JSIAJindal @JindalGlobalUNI @JCGS_JSIA @epikairagr #Egypt #Greece #EasternMediterranean – at Dubai, United Arab Emirates

How do you introduce quantum physics to students of International Relations? I decided to write a song with the help of Gemini. Entangled Over Sangria uses an awkward encounter, a crowded tapas bar, and one very clumsy waiter to explore quantum superposition, entanglement, and decoherence. Because learning complex scientific ideas doesn’t always have to begin with equations. Sometimes, enough curiosity can lead to complex equations that can lead to discoveries!

What explains the swings of the pendulum between Right-wing and Left-wing political waves in Latin America? Do opposing ideological blocs shape relations among Latin American countries? How do Right-wing and Left-wing regimes in Latin America approach the USA and China? Is non-alignment or strategic autonomy of smaller countries of the region viable amid the ‘Donroe Doctrine’ of the USA? Why is India crucial for diversifying options of Latin American nations amidst fierce USA-China rivalry? What steps are needed for realising the full potential of India-Latin America ties? For answers, watch Episode 190 of the ‘Indian Diplomacy’ TV show on Doordarshan, featuring a discussion with Dr. Jorge Heine, former cabinet minister and ambassador of Chile to India, China and South Africa. 🔗 youtu.be/hGzFDEfGiKM?si=UeHa…

Although the US has temporarily waived 100 percent trade tariffs on India, the former uses threats of fresh tariffs as bargaining chips. The US signed trade agreements with the EU, Japan and South Korea, but it has again imposed tariffs on them. So, nothing is final or guaranteed in the economic war, says Ajay Srivastava of the Global Trade Research Initiative. Pleased to share my article published today, Friday, 30 October 2026, in Al Gomhuria, one of Egypt’s leading newspapers, titled “The Cost of Power Rivalries: Global Inflation and the Burdens on the Global South.” I examine how geopolitical conflicts and global trade disruptions drive inflation and disproportionately affect developing economies. Global shocks may be shared, but their costs are not equally distributed. @JSIAJindal @JindalGlobalUNI @JCGS_JSIA @algomhourianews #GlobalSouth #Inflation #PoliticalEconomy #مصر – at Delhi, India

For a long time, India lacked high-quality textbooks on International Relations that can help general readers and aspirants to the civil services to learn basic concepts, stay updated with latest foreign policy developments, and understand global events from an Indian perspective. The third edition of ‘International Relations’ by two distinguished former and current Indian Police Service (IPS) officers, Ashok Kumar and Rajesh Mohan, has filled this gap. It is concise, accurate, interactive and India-centric. We at OP Jindal Global University were honoured to host the launch event of this book, which was graced by the presence of the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Archana Gupta, and former Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, Subrata Bhattacharjee, along with the two co-authors. Do get a copy of this really useful primer. It will fill gaps in your knowledge and understanding!

Pleased to share my article published on 28 October 2026 in Al Gomhuria, one of Egypt's leading newspapers, titled: "From India to Egypt: How Can Digital Transformation Drive Development?" I explore India's digital transformation experience and the lessons Egypt can draw to advance financial inclusion, improve public services, empower small businesses, and translate digital investments into tangible development outcomes. Digital transformation is not an end in itself, but a means to create economic opportunities and improve people's lives. @JSIAJindal @JindalGlobalUNI @JCGS_JSIA @algomhourianews #DigitalTransformation #India #Egypt #مصر #التحول_الرقمي – at Delhi, India

Why is the USA unqiuely equipped to use sanctions and tariffs as weapons of economic warfare? How have profiles of countries targeted by the USA with sanctions and tariffs changed over time? What are the means and strategies by which targeted nations have survived American sanctions? Is the Graham Act or the Sanctions on Russia and Iran Act (SRIA) a bargaining chip against India in trade negotiations? How did India manage to show its economic resilience in spite of maximum American tariffs? What is the future of the India-USA economic and commercial partnership amid the constant threat of further sanctions and tariffs? For answers, watch Episode 189 of the Indian Diplomacy TV show on Doordarshan, featuring a discussion with Ajay Srivastava, founder of the Global Trade Research Initiative and former Indian Trade Service officer. 🔗 youtu.be/vlpcRwJap04?si=CpW3…
