1017 days until I age up. Seems like a perfect time to follow @feelthebyrn1 example and see what I can accomplish with this time horizon. Not as prolific a writer but I will try and document the process.
HRV finally starting to trend back up after this illness. @HRV4Training for the win. Day to day measurement not always valuable for me but the trends are fantastic.
2024 has been rough so far. On the bright side I have met my out of pocket deductible for the year!!! Winning!!
I can’t thank @Hilton enough for taking care of us today. I won’t forget your grace!!

For a quick moment, imagine you were born in 1900. When you are 14, World War I starts, and ends on your 18th birthday with 22 million people killed. Later in the year, a Spanish Flu epidemic hits the planet and runs until you are 20. Fifty million people die from it in those two years. Yes, 50 million.
When you're 29, the Great Depression begins. Unemployment hits 25%, global GDP drops 27%. That runs until you are 33. The country nearly collapses along with the world economy. When you turn 39, World War II starts. You aren’t even over the hill yet.
When you're 41, the United States is fully pulled into WWII. Between your 39th and 45th birthday, 75 million people perish in the war and the Holocaust kills six million. At 52, the Korean War starts and five million perish.
At 64 the Vietnam War begins, and it doesn’t end for many years. Four million people die in that conflict. Approaching your 62nd birthday you have the Cuban Missile Crisis, a tipping point in the Cold War. Life on our planet, as we know it, could well have ended. Great leaders prevented that from happening.
As you turn 75, the Vietnam War finally ends. Think of everyone on the planet born in 1900. How do you survive all of that? A child in 1985 didn’t think their 85 year old grandparent understood how hard school was. Yet those grandparents survived through everything listed above.
Perspective is an amazing thing. With so much happening right now and as 2023 ends, let's try to keep things in perspective, knowing that we will get through all of this. In the history of the world, there has never been a storm that lasted forever. This too shall pass.

This commercial definitely supports the argument that you just need exercise (and the right motivation) to combat sarcopenia. Happy holidays! teapaw.org/RexChapman/status/1736…

HR has been rising for months and HRV has been on the decline. I think I see them both starting to nudge in the right direction. I have had the million dollar workout. Stress is stable. Sleep is stable. Last time my HR took off I had Covid. 🤷🏻♂️
Swimming remains a puzzle for me. I don't love the @formswim goggles with the screen right in my vision, but they do give me a ton of useful information and I'm getting used to them. I can relax and bring my HR down, and my pace can be faster or slower. More time in the water
“So when you're stuck, you've gotta find it within yourself to say, 'Ok, this is where I am. And if I'm going to be here, I'm going to be great.'
Attributed to Mark Cuban. And something that needs to become my mantra!!!!
Lactate testing day!!! Heart rate a little higher, but my resting has been elevated as well. Now have to take a look at the numbers!!
Current status of my kitchen!! What recommendations do you have for prepackaged meal delivery services. Our "camp" kitchen has all the stuff but is not actually very easy to use.
"The question is not: will today be a good day?
Every day is a good day.
The question is: how much good will you get out of today?"

Because everyone needs baby elephants chasing birds to cleanse their timelines.
I check HRV with a strap in the morning using HRV4Training @altini_marco. I used an @ouraring in the past but dropped when it became a subscription service. Is there any benefit to adding it back into the mix?
