Pretty impressive when you consider Maine has an estimated 1.4 million people, according to U.S. Census Bureau data from July 2025. Four professional teams, 5.2 million total attendance, and the No. 2 minor league sports market in the country. Maine sports fans clearly show up.

Toronto is calling up outfielder Rudy Martin Jr., who is expected to make his debut after 12 years in the minors, a source tells ESPN. Martin, 30, was taken in the 25th round of the draft -- which doesn't exist anymore -- in 2014. Played indy ball, Mexican League and, now, MLB.
