“Sir this is three used hacksaw blades glued to a piece of 2x4” “Yes, it’s art, I called it “elbows” and the farm paid me $45,000 for it”
In Budget 2026, we’re backing the Canadian artists who tell our stories. That means if you’re a Canadian artist, you won’t pay tax on up to $45,000 of income derived from your creative work.

You know how your heater hoses were leaking this spring and you closed the valves and said “I’ll deal with that later”. Those chickens have come home to roost.

0.4% dockage from the Claas. Not that the Deeres were ever particularly horrible, but holy smokes that’s clean.

The manual 18 speed Eaton is the transmission the lord wants you to have in your trucks. Every time you buy some version of automatic you make Jesus sad.
The Fuller Roadranger. Fuller started in Kalamazoo, Michigan back in 1902 as a car company. Before that he made washboards. By 1916 they were building nothing but transmissions, and they never looked back. They helped design transmissions for military trucks in World War I. In World War II they built them for the Army’s biggest, heaviest trucks. Then in the mid-1950s, Fuller came out with the Roadranger. One stick, a little air knob on top to flip the range, and trucking was never the same. Eaton bought Fuller in 1958. In 1963 they gave the Roadranger twin countershafts, which made it smaller, lighter and easier to shift. That’s what the RT on the tag stands for. Roadranger Twin countershaft. It became the standard in pretty much every heavy truck in America, and Eaton called it the most profitable buy in company history. Over 60 years later, guys are still climbing in and grabbing a Fuller every morning. Not bad for a washboard company’s grandkids. 🚛

Thinking about dabbling back into barley after being off of it since 2009-ish. To get fields together and balance rotation any reason you can’t grow some on wheat stubble? Obvs gonna be wheat in it and likely have to sell that portion for feed, but otherwise?

We should build a really brutal prison in the middle of Nunavut and send every politician who supported paper straws there for the rest of their miserable lives.
JUST IN: South Korean government study reveals paper straws may cause greater environmental harm than conventional plastic straws.

I hit the wall, I’m tired boss. It’s sweatpants and la-z-boy for a day or two while the weather is shitty. Kids hockey games start next weekend, we’re taking this one completely off.

These little GRK style screws were a great investment for bagging. Suck your 2x4s right tight to the auger on the extractor and you can drive to the next bag for 0 shovelling or to the auger for very minimal shovelling.

Wake up Europe, and expel the hordes of invaders before it’s too late. You’re going to have to hurt feelings, someone may even call you racist. It won’t matter if you’re dead or you no longer have a home land.
Total chaos outside the symbol of Christianity in Milan, the Cathedral. Paper bombs, firecrackers, cars destroyed, attacks on police, insults and shouting right in front of the Duomo. No Italian, not even the worst, would dare to light fires and shoot fireworks against the Duomo. An insult that cannot be explained and forgotten.

Harvest samples drive me nuts, oh you want a sample and exact bushels from every bin? Had 2 loads of #1 13.5+ wheat and one of #2 10.5 out of the same 5000, same field, same day. Samples are pointless, just grade it when I pull up to the probe.

Ol Scooter has been breathing the air in Regina for too long and lost touch with the people of this province, time to start buying Sask party memberships and get ready for the next leadership review. 🤷‍♂️

Once again asking @saskpower to come move these poles, they all need replaced anyway, get them out of the field. It’s a huge safety hazard. If you sneezed on most of these they’d turn to dust, you’ve gotten your moneys worth, time to rebuild.

300 separator hours later, the hat has been put out of its misery. Have to start hitting up salesmen and chemical reps to find a new one tomorrow.

9 year old was absolutely desperate to help so grandpas been training him up and he’s flying solo on the bagger now. Won’t be long he’ll be coming up the combine ladder telling me to get the hell out of the way and just let him handle it.

2026 is the year of poor varieties and lessons. 400ac of pioneer canola that got blown out of the water by the L340 seeded beside it, Hodge wheat that grew 11 feet tall and added 3-4 days on to harvest based on the amount of material we had to put through. 1/

And a bunch of 330 invigor canola that doesn’t appear to measure up to the 340 either. Lesson learned. Westking wheat and 340 invigor corner to corner in 27. Any new canola varieties I try get a 50 acre strip in the middle of a 1/2 section and they better show up on the yield map
