The introduction to many for the Ghostly International label, 2003's Idol Tryouts Vol. 1, finally hits Bandcamp. Very much still reading like a mission statement with idm/ambient/avant-pop/facsimile shoegaze in heaps. w/ exclusive songs from artists such as @dabrye, @matthewdear, @JTCjacks, KILN, Todd Osborn + remixes by @telefontelaviv and @prefuse73.

"JTC's “Press Your Body” is...a post-acid-house demolition derby. One of many aliases of Michigan electronic music shapeshifter Tadd Mullinix and it’s as though he wanted to see how far into the red he could push his production....Twenty-one years old and sounds timeless." - @mattschnipper on @Bopside @JTCjacks

Some of the tracks off @JTCjacks “The Dancing Box” are sooo fearless and unhinged. Such a strong era and Ghostly. Timeless bangers.

We also tapped @__SHIGETO to assemble some essential tracks from our catalog as part of Ghostly’s 25th-anniversary Deep Cuts playlist series. His selects reflect a keen ear and connection to the label’s Midwest dance DNA. ghostly.com/blog/deep-cuts-g…
