New Yorkers deserve a governor who puts working families, public safety, and common sense first — and that’s Bruce Blakeman @NassauExec . 🇺🇸 While everyday New Yorkers were still dealing with the fallout of COVID — expired rent relief, child-care shortages, transit deficits, and families struggling to stay afloat — Kathy Hochul pushed through a massive taxpayer-funded deal for a new Buffalo Bills stadium. The price tag? About $850 million ($600 million from the state + $250 million from Erie County) for a stadium. Pathetic right? It’s not over yet… In 2024, while speaking at a conference, Hochul said: “Right now, we have young Black kids growing up in the Bronx who don’t even know what the word ‘computer’ is. They don’t know, they don’t know these things.” Black elected officials, and community leaders from the Bronx immediately called it out as harmful, deeply misinformed, and insulting. Hochul later retracted, saying she “misspoke” and regretted it, claiming she meant lack of access. But the original words landed as condescending and, to many, racist. Bruce Blakeman even brought it up in their debate because, to him, it revealed a mindset that underestimates Black New Yorkers instead of lifting them up. As Nassau County Executive, Blakeman has focused on results: hiring more police officers, terminate New York’s sanctuary state policies, standing up for women’s sports, and keeping taxes & costs under control in his county. He wants a safer New York, an affordable New York, and a New York that doesn’t talk down to its own communities.
