Opinion: I don't see a contradiction with Religious Zionists not wishing to impose religious observance via the power of the state. Those who object should have no prob should the state enforce halakhic obligations re Milhemet Mitzvah or teaching one's child a trade.

Narrator: It's entirely believable
I'm reeling at what I just saw. It was a WhatsApp status posted by an Anglo-charedi rabbi I met recently, who seemed to be a nice guy and teaches in kiruv-type positions. He posted about how all religious Jews, even if we have disagreements, need to put them aside and vote as The [Charedi] Gedolim dictate, because of how Bennett, Lapid, Lieberman and Golan are "against Judaism." His title was "Even when brothers disagree, when the enemy attacks, we stand together as one!" I just wrote to him that our enemies are Hamas and Hezbollah. And they attacked. And the vast majority of charedim, including all the leadership, did NOT stand together with the rest of us. They didn't help at all, and they didn't even particularly care. The sheer audacity of his making such an appeal is unbelievable.

I wonder if the Torah has something to say about that? 🤔
I will give credit to Shas: At least they care (or pretend to care) about people not in their immediate circle. Yahadut HaTorah makes no pretense of caring about anyone but themselves.

No, he's not. As of now, neither side has enough seats to secure a coalition.

I remember the before times, when people demanded people ask, "What radicalized them?"
Before 7/10, Ben Gvir was polling horribly. Now he is doing OK. The point here is that instead of getting mad at people who decided that IBG is a reasonable choice, ask why they are doing that and figure out what are the issues bothering people.

Note: I have never seen a similar condemnation for the Hareidim who block traffic or commit violence. The greatest sin for totalitarian regimes is any perceived threat to power.
Rav Dov Lando told Rav Yosef ben Arza, one of Hatzibur Hachareidi's rabbinic supporters, that what he's doing is equivalent to eating cheilev on Yom Kippur or chametz on Pesach.

If anyone knows of a recognized Hareidi authority who has declared that those who participate in disruptive protests, riots, and/or commit acts of vandalism or violence are outside the pale of the Hareidi community, please let me know.

HBO's @LastWeekTonight has a long track record of citing social science findings without the appropriate context, massaging them to support whatever point @iamjohnoliver is trying to make.

This is an excellent point. There are enough similarities between various parties that you can have at least 85% of the key policies at a small fraction of the needless blowback. Unless, of course, the trolling is the point.
I don't know many people voting for Ben Gvir but of those I do, they are voting because of his stance on terrorists. They feel he is the only one who takes a hard line on terrorists and defends soldiers. One is gay & mizrachi the other a former soldier sees the orders to stand down often leads to the deaths of soldiers. Ben Gvir will never be prime minister but they want him in the government for these reasons. I don't agree with their choice but they can't be dismissed as hateful racists.

The funny thing is that in the US there were dozens of stories and many more posts about cutting off family members due to politics, which I compared to cutting of family members due to religion. Nice to see a diff approach here.
