It was great getting to a VMCRA race @DominionRaceway last night. Lots of incredible racing. The minicup race had a lot of action but everyone is ok. Congrats to Tyler Warriner and his team on last nights win! @VirginiaCup @NASCAR
Here is a sample glass of my Waldemar Wines Pêcher wine. Can’t get much more clarity than this! Have 52 bottles ready. Great looking, tastes nice and crisp and hint of peach aroma.
It’s that time of year! Honeysuckle is in bloom. Time to start my unique honeysuckle wine. Stay tuned. #vintner #winemaker #hobby #wine #waldemarwines

Proud of this man I call Pops. Most know him as Wally Jabs. He is 85 and still volunteering his time. Here he is receiving an award from the DAR this past weekend. @JabsDesignBuild

Players...if your HS fall team is in the same tournament as your travel team...it's a NO BRAINER...you play with your HS fall team. HS commitment takes precedent. This is an easy one and hopefully your travel ball coach/owner is telling you the same thing.

Players...This will be unpopular. YOU can get good at hitting without lessons! YOU can get strong without a personal trainer! YOU can develop arm strength without a velo camp! YOU can be good at baseball without someone holding your hand every step of the way. It's called Ingenuity.

The overwhelming majority of kids that think they're recruitable aren't even close. They have no idea how good and physical they really have to be to even start a responsible recruiting discussion. Colleges are looking for players as good, as physical and/or better than the players they already have.
Senior night on Tuesday! Let’s go!

Yep!!
Teams that don’t strike out at a high clip win more games. Simple as that. This is amplified at the college level and 10 fold at HS level and below. Once you get two strikes, it becomes 100% a team at-bat. Grind it out. Compete your tail off. Choke-up, shorten up, widen up, get closer to plate and implement your two strike mental approach. Some call this their “B Swing.” Make the pitcher work! Always liked “look fastball away and adjust.” But there are other 2 strike approaches that are just as effective. Need to experiment and find out what works best for your style of hitting. Often a quality two strike approach leads to hard hit balls. But even when they don’t, the opposition still has to field it, throw it, and catch it. That’s called pressure. Much more difficult to defend than a right turn back to the dugout.
Great job, FP!
