🧵 The situation is dire so I have to take it here. Last July after 4/5 seizure like events I was hospitalised so they could run tests. A lesion on my brain was discovered. I was left for 48 hours wondering what it was as my local hospital (UHW) don't have the expertise

Yesterday I got a call from someone on my neuro team. I was a bit frazzled so I didn't even catch his name. MRI shows no significant changes and the Professor is planning to bring me in (to Beaumont) on November 17th for surgery on November 18th. *Shook* doesn't even cover it.

I'll be on @LunchtimeLiveNT today and would appreciate your support/listening/texting and whatever else you've got in the way of positive feedback. It's crap to need to do this and it's somehow harder to be an activist for your own situation....but on I go.
Just to clarify. The situation with @HSELive is dire. All staff I have encountered including the team taking care of me have been incredibly compassionate and caring. It is the whole system I am frustrated with. Its a shambles
I've been having extreme exhaustion for the last few days. For anyone else this would be put down to getting used to the busy Sept routine again. For me it usually precedes an episode or event in which my brain oozes blood from my #cavernoma
I dont know who makes the decisions. I've done my research and seen articles featuring my consultant from years ago crying out for the govt to fix this health care system as he turned away patients needing emergency neurosurgery due to lack of beds
