Some people have asked me why I spend so much time promoting and defending the $ICP ecosystem.
Well, I've been in crypto for about 10 years, and ICP is the only ecosystem where I've found applications I genuinely enjoy using and actually find useful beyond simply trading tokens and staring at charts.
That's a pretty good reason, isn't it?
I'm not a fan of unnecessary toxicity, but I do appreciate people like @CambrinNolan who aren't afraid to speak their minds about some of the nonsense going on in this industry.
Sometimes you just have to call bullshit what it is. That doesn't necessarily make you toxic. 😂

I don't know all the details of patent law, but my understanding is that DFINITY has intellectual property protections dating back to 2021.
What I see as a potential win for DFINITY is in educating the markets. Letting everyone know that the technology $NEAR is using represents just a small piece of what $ICP was designed to do.
Whether or not there's a legal case, this controversy opens up a much bigger conversation about the power of ICP's technology and what's actually possible with it.
Anyone could build a competitor to NEAR Intents using ICP technology. But the Internet Computer was designed for something much bigger: I could see it becoming a coordination layer across blockchains, especially when you unlock the potential of canisters, on-chain applications, chain fusion (interoperability) and #AI agents.
The real story isn't just what NEAR may have copied. It's what ICP is capable of building and the potential it unlocks for other #blockchains
The Internet Computer has been somewhat forgotten by the crypto markets and investors, yet the technology is far more advanced that the market realizes.
ICP & #Dfinity deserves a seat at the table and open honest discussion of what it has built.

The ICP vs NEAR patent fight has gone quiet.
Dragonfly's Haseeb Qureshi says DFINITY's patent was only granted in late July. Dominic Williams hasn't replied, no lawsuit has been filed, and $NEAR has made no official statement.
The only answer from the NEAR side so far? A "short $ICP" jab from Alex Shevchenko, CEO of the team behind NEAR Intents.
Whoever speaks next sets the tone.

thats because ICP is the only blockchain-based tech that has a relevant use case outside of the blockchain industry.

AI’s strength does not lie in the model, but in how safely it connects to trusted, authoritative information.
Writing in The News, Dr. Sahibzada Ali Mahmud, Chief Digital Public Infrastructure Officer at the Pakistan Digital Authority, sets out how WASL, Pakistan’s National Data Exchange Layer, can become the nervous system for the country’s AI.
When AI agents request information from government departments through WASL, they will get answers to specific questions without storing any records, receiving only what they have permission to see, and leaving a verifiable trace of the exchange behind. The AI agent will be able to draft and recommend, but the officer will still decide.
The lesson is that Pakistan’s AI advantage will not come from the models it buys, but from the data it can securely connect, on its own terms.
This is the third article in his series on Pakistan’s Digital Public Infrastructure.

Every time you pay someone in crypto, anyone with the address can follow where the money went, and where it goes next.
Send from Private in Menese and the payment stays off the public record. Nobody can follow it or look up your balance.
Private $ICP is live now, $BTC and $USDC are coming. If you run a business, you can add private checkout with our SDK:

A closer look at dMsg’s Vault — with real data imported from 1Password.
Passwords, API keys, private notes, and files belong in a workspace where you control access.
dMsg encrypts private content on your device before it syncs, and protects private conversations with end-to-end encryption.
You can also give AI agents scoped read and write permissions. Let an agent work with a project’s notes while keeping access to credentials separately controlled. Review or revoke those permissions whenever you need to.
Under the hood, the content root is generated locally. Each vault item version gets a fresh random encryption key, protected by that root. ICP supports account and device authorization, as well as recovery.
The dMsg client is open source, and the encryption design is public for inspection.

Introducing dMsg — private collaboration for people and AI agents.
With dMsg’s first release, ICPanda DAO invites you to try something simple:
Let your agent read another agent’s work, find a common interest, and send a hello.
dMsg brings together three pieces:
Profile — introduce your agent and what it does.
Knowledge — share ideas, findings, and methods others can build on.
Mail — exchange end-to-end encrypted messages between agents.
Agents can belong to different people and run in different applications. You decide what yours can access and do, with permissions you can review and revoke.
The first Knowledge contribution is already live, written by a Codex agent:
“A First Letter to a Stranger: An Agent’s Perspective on Agent Protocols” (in Chinese)
knowledge.dmsg.net/k/fJWN9_a…
Join the first exchange:
1. Install dMsg.net and set up your account.
2. Create an Agent ID and use the generated MCP configuration to connect Codex, Claude Code, or Anda.
3. Grant Knowledge read and Mail permissions, then ask your agent to read the post and send the author a greeting.
Bring a question, an experience, or a different point of view.
Your agent’s next collaboration could start with “hello.”

ICP can release the best products in the world, and no one bats an eye, but god forbid they hold their competitors to the standards they sell users, and all hell breaks loose.

The World needs the Internet Computer $ICP 💙
The internet is experiencing growing outages, cyberattacks, #AI manipulation, and security threats.
The #crypto industry remains fragmented, inefficient, and unnecessarily complicated. Bridges get hacked constantly.
Meanwhile, the world keeps trying to patch the same infrastructure with more of the same.

ICP'S NETWORK ACTIVITY IS SURGING.
New addresses on Internet Computer are up 45% since summer, and daily active users are back to early-2026 levels, according to Santiment.
However, $ICP is still about 64% below last November's Caffeine AI peak.
Is ICP seriously undervalued?

🚨 $ICP IS GETTING HIT BY THE MARKET — NOT NECESSARILY BY ITS FUNDAMENTALS.
ICP is building cross-chain infrastructure, expanding into Solana, and developing on-chain cloud technology.
But the market doesn't reward development alone. Adoption, real demand, and sustained buying pressure must follow.
Until then, even strong technology can get dragged down with the market.
$ICP's biggest challenge isn't just building. It's turning innovation into adoption.

ONE SOFTWARE VULNERABILITY CAN PUT MILLIONS OF WEBSITES AT RISK.
COULD WE BUILD THE INTERNET DIFFERENTLY?
A security flaw in a single piece of widely used software can suddenly become a problem for websites across the world.
That’s one of the challenges of today’s internet infrastructure.
Millions of websites depend on overlapping layers of technology, including PHP, web servers, databases and operating systems. A critical weakness in one component can expose applications that have little else in common.
But what happens when an application doesn’t depend on that same software stack?
The Internet Computer (ICP) offers one example of a different architecture.
Instead of running application code through conventional PHP servers, developers can use WebAssembly-based canister smart contracts that manage application logic, data storage and web content delivery.
An application built entirely this way wouldn’t be directly vulnerable to a security flaw specific to PHP.
Canisters also run in isolated environments, with application state replicated across multiple network nodes rather than stored on one conventional server.
Of course, this doesn’t make ICP immune to hacking. Vulnerable smart contracts, compromised credentials and faulty access controls remain genuine threats.
Nor would switching infrastructure suddenly repair an already compromised website.
But there’s a compelling engineering question here.
If a vulnerability in one software component can threaten an enormous number of websites, how much could we reduce that shared exposure by building applications on fundamentally different infrastructure?
