Has he been in a pub in the last 20 years? Almost all pubs are gastropubs now. All serve Soft drinks and have seating areas away from where locals are drinking. I haven’t drank in over 2 years and I regularly take my daughter to the pub for food and playing in the pub gardens
Convinced they are just trying to bait us now, can’t do nothing🥹🤣 just cut fuel duty or vat temporarily you fucking sausage
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
I’m sorry but this just seems like parody. Utter contempt for the British public. Attempted terror attack and potential record channel crossings and this clowns talking about trains. These people are the single biggest threat to the UK. Absolute fucking morons
Enough is enough.
For years, people have been expected to put up with Avanti’s cancellations, delays, overcrowding, and a service that has failed them time and time again.
So my Labour government is bringing Avanti West Coast into public ownership at the earliest opportunity in March next year.
That means passengers, not shareholders, will come first.
More investment, fewer delays, and a renewed focus on getting the basics right.
We're putting essential services back in public hands and building a railway that actually works for the people who use it.
Probably because no one bothers reporting crime anymore. And do we feel safer than 2 years ago? no
SOME GOOD NEWS FOR COVENTRY FOR ONCE 👏
Neighbourhood crime has fallen faster in Coventry than anywhere else in the West Midlands, according to newly released figures.
The latest annual report from West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster says neighbourhood crime in Coventry has dropped by a massive 39.2% compared with the baseline year of 2023/24.
That's the BIGGEST reduction recorded across all seven West Midlands policing areas.
For comparison:
Coventry: down 39.2%
Wolverhampton: down 34.5%
Solihull: down 26%
Across the West Midlands as a whole, neighbourhood crime fell by 24.5%.
The category includes the sorts of crimes that can have a huge impact on how safe people actually feel where they live, including residential burglary, robbery, theft from the person and vehicle crime.
Across the wider West Midlands, residential burglary has fallen by 27.2%, robbery by 38.2%, theft from the person by 28.3% and vehicle crime by 20.1%.
But it isn't all good news.
Business crime has actually increased across the region, with the rise largely being driven by shoplifting, which was up 30.2%.
And statistics obviously aren't the same thing as people's everyday experiences.
You can tell someone crime is falling, but if they've recently had their car stolen, been burgled or regularly see antisocial behaviour where they live, they're probably not going to feel particularly reassured by a percentage.
So we're interested in whether the figures match what people are actually experiencing across Coventry.

You weren’t even an MP 6 months ago. You weren’t elected by the public. You have no mandate. How are we a democratic society when we can allow unelected officials to become prime minister of a country without public consent or votes
I didn’t become Prime Minister to just make a few tweaks around the edges. I want to change the way this country works.
For too long, politics became comfortable with the idea that some things just can't be fixed. People sleeping on our streets. Huge inequalities between different parts of the country. Young people unable to afford a home. Communities watching decisions about their future being taken somewhere else, by someone else.
Governments have talked about those things. They've even promised to fix them. But too often, they've reached the same conclusion: it just can't be done.
I don't accept that, and I never have.
That’s why we’ve invested to offer everyone who needs it a route off the streets by Christmas.
It's why we've announced the biggest council housebuilding programme since the Second World War.
It's why we're opening 159 new mental health centres.
It's why we've finally put technical education on par with the academic route.
It's why we're delivering the biggest transfer of power out of Westminster and into local communities in a generation.
And it's why we opened No10 North too.
Not as another government office. But because I believe one thing very strongly: Britain won't be rebuilt from the top down.
You have to put power back in the hands of the people and places that know their communities best - and then put the full weight of government behind them.
I also want to give people a bit of breathing space too.
That's why we've cut tax on electricity bills, capped bus fares at £2, and made subscriptions easier to cancel.
It’s why we've cracked down on fake discounts and cut business rates for pubs, social clubs and music venues.
And it's why we've extended the 16-17 Saver Railcard and introduced free 24/7 bus travel for disabled people.
That is the change we have started. More power for our communities, more support on the cost of living and a long-term plan to rebuild the country.
Each one of those changes is part of the same thing.
Good growth in every postcode.
Reindustrialising Britain.
And making sure wherever you live - and whatever your background - you feel this country has a future for you.
Because, in the end, that's what this is about: bringing back hope.

For decades, millions of working-class men and women have been told to shut up and accept low wages, decaying infrastructure, failing public services and an establishment that treats their concerns with utter contempt.
They have watched their communities rapidly transform in front of their eyes, changing beyond ANY recognition.
They have witnessed successive governments lose control of Britain's borders, while being told that objecting to that somehow makes them racist, bigoted, ‘disgusting’…
One of ‘that lot’.
Following the Dover protest against illegal immigration today, that vile contempt was on display once again.
The local Labour MP dismissed the protestors as ‘idiots’, and to ‘get a job’.
Farage called the protest ‘disgusting’, his contempt for these concerned patriots was quite incredible.
That attitude from the political class is EXACTLY why so many working-class people feel politically abandoned. Why millions simply do not engage with the political process, at all.
You can dissuade disruption without sneering at the underlying concerns of people who believe their borders, communities and country have been utterly failed. Broken and betrayed.
For too long, Westminster has demanded that working class communities absorb the consequences of its decisions - particularly on immigration. Labour, Conservative, Reform politicians. They opened the floodgates, they enabled the invasion. May, Jenrick, Patel, Mahmood, Sunak, Braverman, Starmer, Burnham, Boris Johnson.
They are ALL to blame.
Our rotten political class should spend less time abusing those who are angry and considerably more time asking itself why they are so furious in the first place.
But there is finally a serious political party that will fight for the working class. Unapologetically and without fear.
Restore Britain. And I am proud to lead it.
I will not lecture you. I will listen to you, stand with you and fight for you.
We will restore control of our borders, rebuild your communities and put the interests of the British people first. Each and EVERY time.
Restore Britain is now the political voice of the working class - and we are going to take our country back.

It’s the people, the story and the journey that makes the experience special. As grateful as I am to be back in the prem surely we don’t want to lose that magic and authenticity that got us there. Naturally things evolve but this wasn’t something that needed to change! Poor #PUSB
