Maybe this is why you are single as a 40 yr old. Just a hater maybe life is more fun not being a cynical hater
I guess you are okay when a billionaire pays for a woman with no actual policy knowledge to win but an Indian man who actually understands basic policy and knows how to get donations from non billionaires nahhhh

When it comes to any new tax, we need to make sure we're being a good steward of taxpayer dollars before we ask for more.
Mayor Johnson's proposed "nickel and dime" 15 cent / package tax is projected to raise $9 million in 2027.
Let's dig into the mechanics.👇🧵
I like westlooptom for a lot of reasons but the reason Illinois has a lower poverty rate is cause our taxes go to make work jobs for people who you wouldn’t trust to change your light bulb

Eight years ago, 11 Jews were killed and 6 injured while praying at Shabbat services at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh.
This senseless act of anti-Jewish terrorism should remind us that antisemitism is a form of domestic extremism that has no place in a democracy.
Sadly, Jewish institutions — including synagogues — must now spend $1 billion to provide the necessary security so a mass shooting like the one at Tree of Life doesn’t happen again.
Congress must pass my bipartisan Jewish American Security Act to help protect innocent people simply trying to pray.
May the memories of those we lost always be a blessing.

For my latest, I quoted El-Sayed's exact statements that match the 'grocery' ad that everyone agrees is anti-Semitic. Just to be clear that you cannot find one acceptable and the other beyond the pale: commentary.org/seth-mandel/t…

Even the Mayor's own CFO says his deficit number is faulty.
The difference in the two? Proposed debt issuance, not revenue or costs.
I appreciate the CFO’s honesty about how additional debt will be seen by ratings agencies.

My values, my identity and my community are far more important to me than any individual election result. Regardless, it’s widely understood that I lost in my particular district for the same reasons this ad is repugnant, blatantly false, and incites even more violence against Jews.
And sadly, you consistently add fuel to this slanderous and anti-Jewish fire.

this populist nonsense immigrants are not stealing your homes
I'm in my 40s. I'm a lawyer. My wife is a lawyer. We both work full time.
We cannot afford the house my parents purchased on a single electrician's income in their 30s.
We cannot afford the house my immigrant grandparents purchased on a single MTA bus driver's salary in their 30s. They had SIX CHILDREN.
For 30 years, politicians in Washington & their oligarch allies convinced regular people that this was just about avocado toast and fancy coffee.
In reality, this is end-stage capitalism. Everyone is stuck in place. It's impossible to buy a home. It's too costly to move. We work too much to have passion projects. We don't have enough savings to start our own businesses. We can't afford to go without healthcare to do it.
Thanks for writing this article @troy_closson. Would be very happy to discuss further.

how are you going to cut spending before you cut taxes
The average Illinois family pays nearly a quarter million dollars in property taxes in their lifetime.
This is the highest in the Midwest...and the highest in the country, outside of the Northeast.
The cost of living is too expensive in Illinois, and at the top of the list is property taxes. Yet instead of solving the problem, JB Pritzker just points fingers.
We have a plan to lower property taxes in Illinois. In fact, we're the only campaign with a plan. Vote Independent for Governor and let's finally solve a problem the politicians have been talking about for decades.
