GIGA DEX Update: Buybacks, Trading Volume & LP Fees
Here are a few notable updates from GIGA DEX over the past several days:
• Buybacks: On October 16, GIGA reported that the GIGA Machine had bought back and permanently locked 10.74M GIGA, representing 18% of the circulating supply according to the project.
• Activity since launch: GIGA reported over $820M in trading volume and more than $200K in rewards earned by veGIGA stakers.
• Stock Token trading fees: On October 20, GIGA announced that it had reduced its protocol take to 5% on Stock Token pools. This means LPs receive 95% of trading fees in ungauged pools.
GIGA is pursuing three approaches in parallel: reducing circulating supply through buybacks and permanent locks, generating rewards for veGIGA stakers, and adjusting its fee structure to direct more trading revenue to LPs.
That said, these figures are based on the project's own disclosures. Long-term performance will depend on actual trading activity, protocol revenue, liquidity, and the sustainability of the broader Robinhood Chain ecosystem.

• TAO/USDG: $2,152 rewards | 181% APR
• MSTR/USDG: $1,853 rewards | 162% APR
• AI/USDG: $1,390 rewards | 1,167% APR
Rewards are valued in GIGA at the time of reporting and distributed to LPs over 7 days.
AI/USDG leads in reported APR, while TAO/USDG tops the list by rewards.
Keep in mind that APR is variable and can change with liquidity, trading activity, and reward conditions.

GIGA DEX Creator Pools are now live.
GIGA has introduced Creator Pools, a new pool structure designed for token creators and launchpads that want more control over their market economics without building custom hooks.
The key point is the fee model:
• Creators receive a direct share of the trading fees generated by their token
• No additional creator fee is added on top
• The creator share comes from the pool's existing swap fee
• Standard GIGA execution remains in place while allowing custom economics
In simple terms, Creator Pools allow token volume to translate into a revenue stream for the creator while keeping the underlying pool structure within GIGA DEX.
The interesting part will be seeing how creators and launchpads use this flexibility, and whether it can help attract more projects and trading activity to GIGA.

For everyone currently locking GIGA, a reminder:
GIGA locks decay over time.
Under the current mechanism:
- A lock starts decaying from the day it is set
- There is a 30-day grace window to renew the lock
- If the lock decays beyond 30 days without being renewed, the position will stop earning rewards
- Renewing within the grace window does not affect earnings
- Early lockers are now approaching the point where they may need to renew
If you currently have GIGA locked, it may be worth checking your remaining lock time and renewal status.
One thing I find worth noting is that maintaining rewards doesn't only depend on locking GIGA, the lock duration also needs to be managed over time.
Stay active, stay earning.

A recent roundup from @brownfiamm highlighted several high-incentive pools across different ecosystems. For Berachain, two pools currently stand out:
- BERA/BUSD: 54.3% APR
- WETH/USDC.e: 20.69% APR
Both pools are currently receiving incentives in berachain-bera:native.
These rates can change over time, so the figures above should be treated as a snapshot rather than a fixed return.

An update on NTRPY x GIGA DEX.
NTRPY says GIGA DEX has allocated 4M GIGA, equivalent to 0.4% of total supply, to NTRPY as veGIGA.
The partnership is built around a launchpad → liquidity → trading volume loop:
• NTRPY is a token launch and incubation platform on Robinhood Chain
• New tokens launch through a bonding curve
• Once the raise is completed, the token graduates into a GIGA DEX pool
• The liquidity is locked permanently
• Every trade generates fees for the relevant participants
• Revenue generated from NTRPY’s veGIGA position is used to support future launches on NTRPY
NTRPY offers several launch formats, including Express, Public, and Curated, with options for rounds, whitelists, wallet caps, and different pool fee structures.
Another notable feature is Holder Takeover. If a creator becomes inactive, holders can vote to redirect the creator fee share to a new team or project.
NTRPY currently has 3,333 NFTs. Activated NFT holders can participate in revenue distributions from NTRPY Capital, which receives 15% of platform trading fees and deploys that capital into Curated launches.
From GIGA’s side, the model creates a relatively straightforward loop:
NTRPY launch → GIGA DEX pool → permanent liquidity → trading volume → fees → funding for future launches.
The key thing to watch is not only the 4M GIGA veGIGA allocation, but whether this model can translate into sustained liquidity and trading volume for GIGA DEX over time.
If launches consistently graduate into permanent pools, NTRPY could become an additional source of long-term liquidity for the @giga_dex ecosystem.

Minimum Incentive Rates (MIR) are coming to Berachain Mainnet.
Berachain is introducing MIR to make WBERA emissions more efficient, particularly for Reward Vaults (RVs) that receive emissions without providing incentives in return.
Here’s how it works:
- Each RV must provide at least 0.75 units of its incentive token for every 1 WBERA received.
- For example:
1 WBERA → 0.75 incentive tokens
0.2 WBERA → 0.15 incentive tokens
- If an RV falls below the MIR requirement, Automatic Reward Allocation (ARA) will redirect the validator's emissions to eligible RVs that meet or exceed the minimum rate.
- The allocation will be adjusted block by block, based on eligible RVs.
MIR is already live on Bepolia and is scheduled to go live on Berachain Mainnet on September 18.
For users, the goal is more efficient distribution of emissions. For RV managers, maintaining the required incentive rate will be necessary to continue receiving emissions.

GIGA Machine update:
The latest data shows that GIGA’s buyback and lock mechanism is continuing to accumulate.
- 193.24M GIGA currently held by the GIGA Machine ~ 19.32% of total supply
- 5.34M GIGA bought back and locked so far, across 25 buybacks
- ~$135K in total buybacks
- 465.05K GIGA (~$7.51K) bought back in the last 24h
- 1.6M GIGA (~$24K) pending and not yet locked
- Latest buyback: 7 hours ago
The interesting part is the mechanism itself: protocol revenue is used to buy GIGA from the market, which is then locked.
This means the amount held by the GIGA Machine can continue to increase as protocol revenue is generated and converted into buybacks.
The current 5.34M bought back is still relatively small compared with the 190M GIGA locked at Genesis, but it provides a way to track whether the protocol’s revenue is translating into additional locked supply over time.
Worth watching how this develops alongside GIGA’s trading volume and protocol revenue.

BeraFarm is coming back?
@realBeraFarm has posted a message, marking its return after a relatively quiet period.
BeraFarm is a yield vault platform on @berachain , aiming to simplify the management of DeFi yield strategies.
Instead of manually managing multiple strategies:
→ Deposit into a single vault
→ Automatic compounding
→ Yield optimization based on the strategy
The upcoming update also appears to focus more on user experience, with options designed around different asset-management preferences.
There are still limited details available for now, so I’ll wait for BeraFarm’s official announcement for more information.
