Absolutely LOVE this! 💛
OATS joined #LeadingAge26 in Philly last week! As part of our work with @Verizon on Digital Wellness, attendees tested their scam-spotting skills at our interactive booth. We also participated on a panel about building digital confidence among older adults. #LeadingAge26 #DigitalLiteracy
Ever tried forest bathing? 🌲
Trees release phytoncides that:
❤️ Lower BP
📉 Drop cortisol
🛡️ Boost immunity
It’s why I'm launching a wild guiding venture next spring - because nature is for everyone!
Step away from your screen & let nature in ~
#forestbathing (it's a thing!)

⭐️ Watching your mentee WIN is the best feeling in biz!
🦍 When in Rwanda, I connected with a tour guide named Eliab. I told him about the magic of video for trust & visibility. & then he actually started posting vids!
Now, he's better than his competition ;)

Thank you for saying this Aman! It's an important reminder for everyone around the globe :))
Imposter syndrome is something every software engineer feels
Even senior engineers, while working in big tech companies like Microsoft, Google, Meta, Amazon etc
Everyone is brilliant around you.
You're quietly wondering when they'll realize they hired the wrong person.
I want to tell you something I wish someone had told me:
That feeling doesn't mean you don't belong.
It means you're paying attention.
You're surrounded by people who are genuinely excellent, and your brain does the obvious (and unfair) thing: it compares your behind-the-scenes to everyone else's highlight reel.
Here's what actually helped me manage it:
1. Remember the interview wasn't a fluke.
You passed the same bar everyone else did.
The company doesn't make hiring mistakes at the volume your anxiety suggests.
2. Talented people have blind spots too.
That senior engineer who sounds brilliant in every meeting?
They're probably quietly unsure about something else entirely.
Nobody is confident at everything.
3. Compare yourself to your past self, not the room.
The question isn't "am I as good as them."
It's "am I better than I was 3 months ago."
4. Ask questions early and often.
The engineers who look most confident later are usually the ones who weren't afraid to ask "obvious" questions early.
5. Talk about it. Out loud. To someone.
The moment I admitted this to a mentor, he said "I still feel that, every single day."
That changed everything for me.
Imposter syndrome doesn't mean you don't belong.
It means you're growing around people who challenge you - exactly where you should be.
Do you deal with this? You're not alone 👇
Thanks for the mention, Jeff! Enjoy your day :)

Me & my 1st entrepreneurial friend, Bernie 📸
He passed away years ago of cancer, but developed patents, was my 1st client & lived w/pure entrepreneurial joy.
True entrepreneurs are born with the drive to bet on what others can't see yet.
May we all be joyful in our work 😎
Thanks for the mention, Jeff! Happy Fall 🍁
