Susie ensured the killer of hundreds of thousands of veterans would no longer have to bear any financial repercussions for their corruption and blatant disregard for human health and wellness.
Yesterday, 6 years of battling the cancer that came with exposure to Agent Orange & Round-up (shout out to the FDA!) my dad has left this world and moved onto the next.
He was a badass. I can’t tell you the number of times we thought he was gone and then nope! He was back.
I have no regrets on how I lived my life with my dad.
We disagreed on politics, so we didn’t talk about them when they misaligned and agreed to disagree.
I flew him and my mom out for every grandparents day, Easter and Christmases so they could be with the grandkids.
90% of our family vacations were to see my parents (helps that they live in San Diego)
During COVID my brothers and I snuck into the hospital to visit him via the emergency room (note: if you act like you know where you’re going and walk with purpose, you can get in anywhere)
A year ago my daughter was inspired to insist on my father flying out to visit us for her NJROTC ceremony at school. Anyone that attended the ceremony would think that flying him out may have been overkill but it was a gift. He flew by himself and was so proud, it gave his self-esteem a massive boost- and for two days- two whole days I had my old dad back. We played cards, watched the SAS and really got to say goodbye.
We feel very blessed to not only have had him as a father but to have had 6 years to say goodbye.
Oh and f* every single person at Bayer/Monsanto and the FDA who greenlit glyphosate.
