<thread> I'm sure as IT pros we've all experienced the frustration of dealing with 1st or 2nd level support teams (and their generally asinine suggestions) while knowing to a moral certainty that there'll be no resolution to the issue until the developers get involved. So, …
'ello, @BritBox_US ! Congratulations on the introduction of your "Premier" tier that gets immediate access to all the episodes of a series while the peasants in the standard tier get them with an eye-dropper. I however will be cancelling my subscription without delay. Toodle-oo, wankers!

Probably the best song you’ll hear today, this week, and this year 👏🏼🤣
This has to be the number one hit on every chart. It needs MTV awards too. It’s absolutely brilliant
What he said.
Over the past few days I have heard a number of very sober, well-reasoned commentators on the political right talking about the midterms and related polling.
They uniformly speak about the House already being a lost cause for the GOP, and they focus on whether the GOP can hold the Senate.
Things do not need to be this way. Trump won in 2024 by large margins. The only reason that cannot be repeated this fall is if YOU—the average Trump voter—decides to let it happen.
I know, I know, I know. Trump has not made all of your hopes and dreams come true in two years’ time. You think he has done nothing, even though he has had profound victory after profound victory in areas like immigration and downsizing the federal government. You have your pet issue that has not been satisfied to the extent you demand, so you want to “Stay home and send them a message.”
Yes the GOP sucks. It’s a heinous mess of self-interest and failed status quo maintenance.
But the only thing worse is the Democrat Party.
We are running against LITERAL COMMUNISTS who want to abolish the Senate, pack the Supreme Court, add two new deep blue states, open the borders to unlimited immigration and succumb to creeping Sharia and jihad in order to literally destroy the nation. (Plus, they will spend the next two years impeaching Trump and everyone in his orbit, fully defeating what you voted for in 2024.)
So you have two choices. It’s a binary choice, there is no third option:
1. Vote for doing everything we can to pursue MAGA even if that’s not perfect.
2. Stay home and become ruled by literal Communists who want you dead.
Choose.
We can still win this fall, we just need the will to do it.
There was plenty of room on the side or on the lower step to make the delivery without blocking the door,
@AmazonHelp. 🤷♂️

Wifey and I just finished watching "My Cousin Vinny" for probably the last time: when you can recite every line before the actors, the time has come to hang up the gavel!

While we conservatives are violently debating the meaning of the words "common good" and saying we won't vote because John Thune is a RINO, Democrats (i) have enshrined abortion up to birth, (ii) want to abolish the police, prison and national borders, (iii) have embraced literal Communism and (iv) think they can bring jihadists into their fold without it blowing up (literally) in their faces.
It's fine for us on the Right to debate the finer points of conservatism. But at the end of the day the only actual defense we have against the sheer paganistic evil of the Democrats is the Republican Party, weak though it may be.
We need to keep working hard to support our conservative beliefs inside the only party that can actually accomplish anything, so disagreement at this point is fine, necessary and productive.
But when the GOP candidates get chosen, we need to rally behind them even though they don't support 100% of what we want, because the sole alternative is a Communist pagan death cult determined to burn down our nation.
That's the choice:
1. Holding your nose to vote for someone who gives you only 75% of what you want.
-or-
2. Being consumed by a Communist pagan death cult determined to burn down our nation.
There is no third choice. It does not exist. This is not the logical error of a false dichotomy.
No, I am simply stating a stark and painful reality.
Massive update to zLauncher is up.

Surprising what two talented musicians, the always amazing @ScottBrosDuo in younger days, can do with an old piano! One of my all-time favorites. youtu.be/h8XyC_qJNrk
U.S. media are currently engaged in a stunning display of wishful thinking regarding the future of soccer as an American spectator sport, extrapolating from the #WorldCup2026 viewership numbers. By their logic, as of the last Winter Olympics, we've all become huge curling and biathlon fans as well. It's an international competition, so we watch, doesn't mean we find the sport captivating on its own merits. The fact is that it's mostly boring and repetitive, and that we're nauseated by the constant flopping and whining.
Most popular sport in the world? Yeah, so would bowling be if it had become the prime outlet for ancient hatreds among peoples, ideal because it requires little and is played everywhere.
Hilarious, clearly nobody on France's FIFA World Cup team knows the lyrics to the Marseillaise -- they were all moving their lips randomly during the playing of the French anthem.
Screw this "Türkiye" business, @FOXSports & @FIFAWorldCup, nobody tells us what we call things in *our* language: it's Turkey! (and by the way, it's still "Peking", and their mass murderer remains "Mao Tse-Tung" -- sue me!)
Well, it was a hard-fought battle and @Azure resisted valiantly, but at the end of a long day of twists and turns I was finally able to sign an executable for the first time using Azure's Code Signing (pardon, *Artifact* Signing) service and my local signtool.exe.
Hey, @PapaJohns, below is the good looking extra-large pepperoni pizza you advertise, along with a shot of a couple of typical slices of the one I got from Store #2966 (paying extra for green pepper and mushrooms). Note the pepperoni coverage on the advertised one (at least 6 pieces per slice) while mine had no more than 2 per slice (one may have had 3). Who's watching your cheapskate franchisees?! / [... and let's not even talk about my "Philly Cheesesteak" sandwich with the barely perceptible cheese and meat shreds you call steak!] / @AskPapaJohns
Might interest you, @guyrleech.
