Aināt Mad at it, Son š¦”
Welcome to the Capitol of Wisconsin! I am elated to say I have accepted a position to be the Morning Anchor of @WKOW !!
Iāve never lived in the same time zone as my family since I began as a journalistā¦ I now have a job thatās a TWO HOUR DRIVE away from home š š„²
After reporting on sports for the last half decade, I canāt wait to bring that same energy, passion, commitment and community care to my new role behind the desk.
Wake Up with Jake, Dana and Emma starting at 4:30 in June š

We now know the name of the pilot in the deadly plane crash in Tuesday
Ron Riek was a longtime pilot in Wisconsin. When we referenced the tail number of the Piper PA-46 that crashed and the FAA registry linked it to his business in Woodville.
Menomonie Airport Commission Chairman Daniel Johnson, who said he had known Riek for decades, described him as a good man whose loss will leave a lasting impact on the aviation community.
We also referenced flight tracker data with weather reports in the area at that same time. There was a pop-up storm near the plane at the time it went down. Air traffic reports Riek requested to descend due to icing on the plane. That's when they lose communication and data.
Authorities have not yet identified any of the remaining people who were on the plane.
We now know that 6 people are dead after a plane crashed in Wisconsin.
I was on the scene in Dellona where officials said they started getting calls around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday. Storms were popping up in the area at the time and residents reported seeing a low-flying aircraft and hearing a crash.
Officials still have that area of Park Lane blocked off today as the investigation continues
A huge #GreenBay win today at Lambeau can give @packers fans a huge sigh of relief for this season!
I asked Coach LaFleur about the vibes after beating THAT team in THAT fashion and he said he was āso proudā of the players for their response. āItās been a little rocky to start the season and we havenāt really played a complete football game until today. But our guys approach it the right way in terms of wanting to come in the building with great energy. You got to come in with the right mindset. The stuff that we do is not always easy work but you have to put the work in. And itās not a surprise to me that we are showing a little improvement, and I still think we got a ways to go.ā
Iād say that was a complete win!
MOVING ON! The @Brewers are on to the NLCS after eliminating the Padres and the Wake Up team is loving it!
America, welcome to the Walker Jenkins Experience.
You can still buy a ticket aboard the bandwagon. Itās not too late.
Really happy I asked this 18 year old kid for his autograph! The Minnesota Twins just called up Walker Jenkins, the #5 pick of the 2023 draft.
He once told me dead straight to my face āI want to be the best player that ever livedā¦ Iām going to get to that point of my life. Iām going to get there.ā
Now, heās one step closer! Thereās a chance heās in his first ever Major League lineup Friday night when they host the White Sox!!!!!
Yes, I asked a high school kid for his autograph š
But @walkerjenkins isn't any high school kid. The #1 HS baseball prospect in America is as special as any athlete I have ever known. He is supremely talented, but his best ability has nothing to do with America's pastime. Friday was his last home game ever for @sbcougarbaseball. Every game, win or lose, Walker signs countless autographs. He doesn't do it for the notoriety, he does it because it's the right thing to do.
Don't believe me? Hear for yourself. Want to learn more about the #3 prospect in the MLB draft? Read here: wwaytv3.com/1-on-1-with-walkā¦
In the interest of accuracy, he has told me this TWICE: wwaytv3.com/south-brunswicksā¦ The second time was right after he was drafted. He has just signed for a ~7M signing bonus and his first move was to head down to Generationās Church to thanks his day-one fans at a watch party
I asked Matt LaFleur what it means to be the head coach of the @packers: āIt means everything to meā
