A 4% advertised rate doesn't tell you that it applies to only 5% of the currently deployed capital (while most sits idle)

BitcoinYield Expert Read
- Amboss Magma at the top of the board. Its a straight forward liquidity lease, that rate being the average interest rate being paid. You maintain custody of your BTC while its being leased, huge benefit. The biggest downside is scale. Only ~$30k of daily volume is currently being leased, against a book depth of around 83 BTC. So a very high chance your BTC will sit idle.
- Lombard Earn. With the new on-chain credit strategy live as of a couple months ago, its not around 60% of the allocated BTC. So those returns coming interest paid from stablecoin credit issued is good. The risk model is novel. Technically, your BTC is the backstop capital if the borrower, Flow Traders in this case, doesn't replay their loan on Cap Protocol. So stablecoin issuures are covered by your BTC. Not our favorite but always, DYOR.
- Binance Earn. The largest exchange in the world knows how to run a covered-call strategy. Not much to write home here.
- Solv Protocol. This strategy has been consistently 3% for months. The current allocation on the dashboard is Starknet BTC staking. Which is slightly odd because in our data, starknet's APR has fluctuated widely over the last few months. It's likely Solv is captured excessive returns here and smoothly out the flow to the vault to keep the 3% return steady. We can see BTC NAV increasing on the dashboard. If you want top returns from the same strategy, staking directly with Starknet may be a better option. One benefit to Solv is it's wide support of blockchains.
- Syntetika. One of the newest products launched to market. The initial 10% bootstrapping campaign has ended. That paid out over $40k to holders They are currently running a 2 week extension campaign at around ~3%. The open question for Syntetika is now, after the short term incentives end. How well will Hilbert Capital's strategy perform? We will keep you updated.
- YieldBasis. Specifically the cbBTC token yield. Decent return. The nice feature here is token rewards accrue in real-time block by block. So you can claim them often and roll the rewards back into BTC. One big black eye worth noting is YieldBasis depositors has been affected by its TRD mechanism (Temporary Redemption Discount). The protocol is fairly complex and one of the features of its design, is when the leveraged position in the pools is out of balance. Redeeming your ybBTC token back to the native wrapped Bitcoin could end with less BTC returned. This is currently around 3% for the tBTC and WBTC options, cbBTC is almost back to parity at 0.09%.
- Babylon. The large OG for bitcoin staking. Small amount of yield. It's self-custodial. You do have some risk of slashing when you delegate your BTC to a validator pool. Capped at 1%. Given the return and the slashing risk. We don't recommend Babylon at this time.
- Sypher Capital. We just got back updated numbers from the team this morning. 3.49%, up from last month. The team does not publicly disclose where they are currently allocated too. Worth reaching out to the two fund managers directly to learn more. If you want a more fund-managed approach to your Bitcoin. This team is strong.
