One of my favorite facts:
In 1975 solar panels cost $115 per watt, which means it would have cost $1 million to put solar panels on your roof.
Today, you can buy solar panels for less than $0.25 per watt.

I gave a video address to Australian legislators last month, urging them to clean up the mess the US made in the 1990s when Congress said companies could show anything they wanted to children, as long as they were old enough to lie about their age:

With today’s mass arrests in Georgia, the parallels with Ukraine’s 2014 uprising are striking. In both cases, the people’s aspirations to join Europe are crushed by a pro-Russian leader who abruptly abandons negotiations for EU integration
But there is a puzzle 1/

✊ Georgians fighting to determine their own future instead of having it dictated by Moscow and oligarchs. I’m sure the Kremlin apologists would tell them to go peacefully into oppression like they do with Ukraine.
OMG look at this force of the water cannon!!! And somehow they have endless supplies too. But also look at people going back towards the police in brief episodes that they run out of water! #GeorgiaProtests The cannons are mixed with pepper spray too!!!

Finland is resolute against Russia because they still remember what it was like to defend their country from an overwhelming force from the East.
On this day, 85 years ago, the USSR attacked Finland.
Journalist Martha Gellhorn covered the Soviet-Finnish War for American media. As seen from her records, in the 85 years since, nothing has changed in the propaganda and conduct of military operations by the Russians.
"They insisted they were not fighting the Finns, but a group of conspirators."

Finnish President Alexander Stubb said that the country is exploring the option of withdrawing from the Ottawa Convention on the prohibition of anti-personnel mines due to the threat from Russia.
"The starting point is that our biggest threat is Russia, and we have to respond to that threat in one way or another. We, calmly and moderately, will have a review, looking first at what our capabilities are and what our technological potential is. Thirdly, we will see what the response is, and then, from the point of view of overall security, we will see how the ground forces need to be reformed at this stage," @alexstubb said on the morning program of the public broadcaster Yle.

$799 million per hour,
$13.3 million every minute.
The first step in addressing the problem is to stop funding it. #ActOnClimate
