Last night I spent a difficult evening talking to a 13 year old lad about his mental health. It’s one of the most difficult conversations I’ve ever had with anyone but I’d do it all over again if I knew it would have positive results every time. This lad had tried to take his own life, had suicidal thoughts, was quite clearly anxious and has some form of mental illness. But I just sat there, talking for 4-5 hours, trying to get an understanding of what was going on. The truth is, you never know what’s going through someone’s mind, what they are thinking or why they make certain decisions. The more I spoke to him, the more he relaxed. Anxiety seemed to disappear, biting of the nails was less frequent, the shaking of the leg disappeared. The willingness to talk was more forthcoming. Everything I knew about anxiety I could see and was starting to disappear. He relaxed, I relaxed. Conversation started and began to flow. This was one of the most difficult conversations I’d ever had with anyone. But there was a connection there that I didn’t anticipate. He was looking at me attentively, eyes completely fixed on me, listening to every word I had to say. I genuinely hope that I’ve been able to help this lad move forward in life, forget about the past and look for what’s good in the world, even when we think there’s very little. At times it was hard to not get emotional, having to take breaths to ensure I could continue with the conversation, knowing that this was probably one of the most important conversations this kid would ever have. I was locked in and in that moment I couldn’t help but feel like I was helping change a life, a life that may have been lost too early. The kid rode his bike home, a fist pump as he left, an acknowledgment of the time we have spent talking. I’ve never felt a bigger purpose in life than knowing I’ve potentially helped someone see the brighter things in life. I wish nothing more than to see this kid to succeed in life and hope one day we have a conversation again that’s in a more positive light. #itsoknottobeok

This is just an insult. @AnimalAid should be very ashamed! I’m livid that anyone has the right to be able to produce something like this website, especially when greyhounds are the most regulated breed in the UK. No one has to even give this the time of day as the only people who need to know where these greyhounds are, is the regulator @GreyhoundBoard, who provide FACTUAL, independently verified figures every year. Nonetheless, to see one of our ex-racers on here, Nine Percent (Percy), is even more angering! What these so called ‘animal lovers’ don’t understand, is that greyhounds like Percy retire and get rehomed. I’ll put Percy in some concept for these ludicrous activists, he got rehomed to a couple who sadly lost their pet at Christmas and were looking for a new greyhound to home. How would you feel if you saw this after all of that heartbreak? Despicable people @AnimalAid are!
Replying to @AnimalAid
@AnimalAid with a new website spending time logging dogs that haven’t been seen for a few weeks, insinuating something untoward 😂 greyhoundwatch.org.uk/

Put this into context a little… Littler has not lost a ranking event since since October 2025 Since losing in the Players Championship (week 34), he has gone on to win: Grand Slam of Darts Players Championship Finals World Championship World Masters European Tour (week 1) And now the UK Open He’s over £1.7millon clear of Luke Humphries in the World Rankings 🤯
The main man in Minehead! ☢️ Luke Littler becomes only the fourth player to win back-to-back UK Open titles! 👏 Another memorable weekend for the world number one!

Rarely do I comment on football just because I don’t see how people get so annoyed about 22 people kicking a ball around a pitch. But what I don’t get from the #ARSLIV game is why Martinelli wasn’t sent off at the end of the match. The @FA rules clearly state under Rule 12: Using excessive force is when a player exceeds the necessary use of force and endangers the safety of an opponent and must be sent off So a player who never fakes an injury, and what can quite clearly been seen as a severe injury from anyone watching, has the ball thrown at him whilst he is on the ground, and whilst rolling on the floor in what was quite clearly distressing discomfort, proceeds to push Bradley off the pitch. Martinelli’s actions could have (not saying it did) caused more damage to Bradley which realistically should be considered endangering the safety of a player. You can’t actually blame the ref for this, there was a lot going on around the situation. But wasn’t VAR introduced to uphold laws of the game, specifically in sending off scenarios?
"It's even worse than disrespectful" Daniel Sturridge and Roy Keane react to Gabriel Martinelli's actions in the final minutes of Arsenal vs Liverpool.
