I am a Democrat. I very much hope the Democrats take majorities in both houses of Congress and am actively supporting many Democratic candidates.
I believe we can win majorities in Congress by supporting patriotic Democratic candidates and opposing anti-American bigots like Abdul El-Sayed.
How can we Democrats ask swing voters to support us if we can’t articulate what we are for and what we will not stand for?
Principled Democrats should support democratic principles.
Vaccines save lives. If we want to save lives, we must ensure the widespread availability and use of life-saving vaccines.
Vaccines have saved more than 150 million lives over the past 50 years. But this progress is under threat from funding cuts, conflicts, climate change and misinformation.
With #measles outbreaks in dozens of countries, immunity gaps anywhere can threaten health security everywhere.
At the same time, innovation offers new hope: malaria vaccines are being rolled out, promising tuberculosis vaccines are in development, and new Ebola vaccines against Bundibugyo virus are approaching trials.
But vaccines only save lives when people can access and trust them.
@WHO calls on governments, scientists, health workers, industry, technology companies and communities to work together to ensure everyone has access to accurate, evidence-based vaccine information.
Everyone, everywhere, at every age deserves the protection vaccines offer.

If Ilhan Omar is the new George Santos, the American people must know.
If she has done nothing illegal, she should not be harassed.
The “Free Palestine” activist who carried out the vicious attack that cost beloved Australian politician Helen Haines both legs publicly supported Hamas, the Houthis, and the October 7 atrocities.
UAE investigators also say the flydubai co-pilot who planned to crash a passenger jet into Ben Gurion Airport began his radicalization in a Melbourne mosque.
The ISIS-inspired Bondi Beach terrorist massacre has already shown the devastating consequences of runway and murderous antisemitism and homegrown Islamism in Australia.
How many more innocent people must be murdered or maimed before Australia’s leaders bring the full force of the law against Islamist terrorists and anyone who recruits for them, finances them, or incites violence?
Let me be clear:
Elon Musk is a monster who bears direct responsibility for the deaths of thousands and eventually probably even millions of innocent people.
He boasted about feeding USAID “into the wood chipper.” A Lancet study projects that continued funding cuts could cause 14 million additional deaths by 2030, including 4.5 million children under five. The Wall Street Journal now reports that he ordered restrictions that crippled Ukrainian interceptor drones, weakened defenses against Russian attacks, and led directly to the deaths of Ukrainian children.
There are people in this world worthy of our admiration and praise. Elon Musk is not one of them.
Patriotic Americans can and should oppose radical extremists on both sides of the political spectrum. For us Democrats, that means being unequivocal in our condemnation of the anti-American bigotry of the DSA and far-left. Here’s my interview with Fox’s @HARRISFAULKNER from earlier today. foxnews.com/video/6407192155…
Mike Rogers and patriotic Americans of every background and political persuasion are absolutely justified in demanding clear answers from Abdul El-Sayed about his statements and his family’s Muslim Brotherhood connections. Tough, evidence-based questions are essential due diligence for anyone seeking elected office.
El-Sayed categorically denied that he or his family had Muslim Brotherhood ties, yet:
• His half-sister wrote that their family had “long been MB” and explicitly described their mother’s Muslim Brotherhood activism.
• His mother worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency, whose network the U.S. Treasury designated in 2004 for supporting bin Laden, al-Qaeda, and Hamas.
• El-Sayed himself signed a 2012 statement supporting Mohamed Morsi’s presidential decisions and urging him to “purge the media and police.”
Calling these legitimate questions racist or bigoted is an insult to Michigan voters and the American people. Americans deserve candor from anyone asking for our votes. Democrats should demand this as forcefully as Republicans (and Republicans should today be demanding answers for why President Trump is supporting Putin and for how the Trump family has gained so much wealth during his presidency).
America deserves a democracy that serves all Americans. That requires standing up for common sense principles against all who would undermine them.
It is a betrayal of America and a historic national disgrace that Steve Wikoff is calling Vladimir Putin a humanitarian.
It is a betrayal of America and a historic national disgrace that Steve Wikoff is calling Vladimir Putin a humanitarian.
Donald Trump has the opportunity to be today’s FDR or Winston Churchill, standing against aggression and oppression in Europe. Instead, he appears determined to become the new Neville Chamberlain. #Ukraine
The heroes of D-Day and the Greatest Generation are rolling in their graves as Donald Trump betrays our Ukrainian friends, our European allies, and America’s best values by backing Putin’s aggression.
Patriotic European citizens have an absolute right to take back their cities from the Marxists, Islamists, and thugs seeking to destroy them.
The DSA’s 2026 platform calls for abolishing the Senate, replacing the president and Supreme Court with bodies subordinate to Congress, putting America’s largest corporations under public ownership, abolishing police and prisons, and closing our overseas military bases.
This is not just nuts, it’s dangerous. My fellow Democrats should unequivocally condemn the DSA, just as we would expect Republicans to unequivocally condemn the Proud Boys and the KKK.
The French protests may have begun with students calling for better conditions, but they have now been taken over by radical Marxists, revolutionary Islamists, and enemies of the French state. If we don’t want those things here, we must reject the dangerous extremists on both sides of the political spectrum.

In my media appearances and social media posts, I have been extremely outspoken in arguing that the mainstream Democratic Party must stand aggressively against the anti-American bigotry of the DSA and the far left. The response from my liberal friends has been largely positive, reinforcing my belief that a large but all too quiet majority of liberal Democrats share these concerns.
I believe many are keeping quiet because they see the Trump administration as a greater threat to America and consider defeating it an overriding moral obligation. I understand their reasoning, but I strongly disagree with the conclusion. Having a clear moral voice about what we stand for and what we oppose is an essential strategic asset for the Democratic Party, now and in the future. Selective outrage undermines our credibility and strengthens the extremists we decline to confront.
I believe this hierarchy of priorities helps explain Obama’s otherwise inexplicable support for Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, as well as the relative silence of Schumer and Jeffries in the face of far left madness. They are trying to defeat what they see as the greater immediate threat, even if that means avoiding a direct confrontation with anti-Americanism and Islamist apologism within the Democratic coalition.
The Democrats face an electorate in which too many young progressives have been drawn toward extremist views. That shift did not happen in a vacuum. Failures to teach civics and critical thinking, the lack of meaningful governance of social media, and the manipulation of information systems by hostile foreign actors and other bad-faith forces, the rise of oppressor/oppressed ideologies, and many other factors have created an environment in which extremism has spread and gained legitimacy.
A significant faction of the Democratic electorate has become anti-American, anti-capitalist, and sympathetic to Islamist radicalism. A significant faction of the Republican electorate has become hostile to democracy and willing to excuse the Trump administration’s rampant corruption and lawlessness. Those of us who love our country must confront both, including when doing so means challenging people in our own party, including when we need to take short term political risks in the name of longer-term political gains and our principles.
I firmly believe the sensible center can reassert itself, but that will require conviction, courage, and organization from people willing to defend our democratic values consistently. It will not happen on its own.
Fighting for our civilizations, our societies, and our democracies must be the common work of everyone.
Any journalist or voter who does not ask Abdul El-Sayed about his association with Islamism and the Muslim Brotherhood is guilty of malpractice. This has nothing to do with "Islamophobia" and everything to do with the legitimate concerns referenced below. This is the exact same standard we would apply to a candidate with family associations to the KKK, Proud Boys, or any other extremist group. xitter.cf/moghaoui/status/211246…
Islamophobes are accusing Abdul El-Sayed of being pro–Muslim Brotherhood JUST BECAUSE:
• His mother worked for an organization later designated by the U.S. Treasury for supporting terrorist groups.
• His sister-in-law appeared on a federal terrorism watchlist during the Obama administration.
• His father-in-law held leadership roles in organizations accused of Brotherhood connections.
• Those organizations were named unindicted co-conspirators in the Holy Land Foundation case.
• His half-sister celebrated October 7 online.
• The same half-sister wrote that their family had “long been MB” and described their mother’s Brotherhood activism.
• His campaign buddy Hasan Piker said America deserved 9/11.
• He wanted to avoid commenting on Khamenei’s death because some potential voters were grieving.
• He signed a statement urging Morsi’s government to purge Egypt’s media and police.
• He compared Oklahoma’s Sharia-ban measure to historical atrocities, including the Trail of Tears.
• He praised the work of Tariq Ramadan, grandson of the Muslim Brotherhood’s founder.
• He defended his friend Mohamed Soltan, whose father was a senior Brotherhood figure.
• His campaign received donations from CAIR-associated individuals, and his father-in-law contributed $300,000 to a supporting PAC.
• He argued that a Brotherhood-led Egypt would not necessarily resemble Iran.
You’re confusing what happened with what you’re allowed to notice
Ilhan Omar deserves the due process of law, like any other citizen.
If she has not broken the law, she deserves to be left alone like any other citizen.
If she has broken the law, she deserves to be held accountable like any other citizen.
Patriotic Democrats can support Mary Peltola in Alaska, Jon Ossoff in Georgia, Josh Turek in Iowa, Adam Hamilton in Kansas, Dan Osborn in Nebraska, Chris Pappas in New Hampshire, Roy Cooper in North Carolina, Sherrod Brown in Ohio, Annie Andrews in South Carolina, and James Talarico in Texas—and oppose Abdul El-Sayed for Senate in Michigan.
We should do everything we can to elect principled candidates while opposing anti-American bigotry, extremism, and intolerance, including within our own party.
Democrats can win control of one or both houses of Congress by standing for a positive vision of America that brings people together, protects our democracy, and delivers a better future. Putting country over party by opposing anti-American bigots in our ranks makes us stronger.
If rumors that Kim Jong Un has died are true, that would be fantastic news for everyone. Kim Jong Un, his father, and his grandfather have been collectively responsible for the deaths of an estimated 1.5 million people through starvation, executions, and political repression, the brutal imprisonment of two million more, and nearly eight decades of soul-crushing totalitarian rule over North Korea. His death would be a cause for celebration and, hopefully, the beginning of liberation for the long-suffering North Korean people.
