The thing about America is you get the sense you need to be actively scamming people 24/7 or you're going to fall behind and never catch up

Everything on the internet is insecure. Also it’s the way we all communicate and make money. Also it’s all disinformation. Good luck!
Amazon isn't going to die because they won't allow other platforms' agents to shop on it, but between their UI and third-party reselling, it's not worth it to actually browse on the site anymore.
It’s amusing how many Netflix originals use a staccato dialogue to grab their viewers’ attention away from their phones and takeout
This is also why staging and blocking is mostly a lost art among modern film. No need when it’s a second screen to a phone

Impressive audio tracking here by nVidia and such a great scene chosen for it. Really shows how much blocking and staging used to be a thing in roundabout dialogues not doing endless 'shot/reverse shot' ad nauseum

My new low-stakes conspiracy theory is that a lot of the people who record themselves speaking on stage outside of product demos are speaking to rented empty rooms
Against affordable housing and its supporters entirely. Not just the mandates, but the concept at this point
Literal empty lots and garages that got flooded by radioactive superfund water turning into a new skyline isn’t good enough for people who insist 100% of new housing needs to be built by the government
Against Affordable Housing and its supporters
wild ruling out of Seattle that @PHLCouncil needs to read. a builder put $39M into 254 low-income apartments locked at 60% AMI for 30 years. from 2015 to 2018 it worked, collecting ~94% of rent.
then Seattle stacked on "tenant protections": banned criminal background checks, banned winter evictions, required 180 days notice for rent hikes + 3 months relocation pay, and forced the owner to let unscreened roommates move in and take over leases.
result: rent collections dropped from 93.9% to 44.1%!!! the building lost nearly $6M through 2023 ($2.7M in 2023 alone) and is now appraised as functionally worthless. the city bankrupted actual affordable housing lol.
the appeals court just ruled the owner can sue Seattle for an unconstitutional taking. when you strip a landlord's right to screen, collect rent or remove non-paying tenants, it's not "regulation" anymore, you took the building…. Philly has half these laws already 🙄 courts.wa.gov/opinions/pdf/8…

Agentic commerce is a mirage (part 5)
"I view the limitations imposed by Walmart on third-party agents as placing platform-owned, first-party agents in the most prominent and privileged position within the agentic commerce workflow.
The running theme of my Agentic commerce is a mirage series is that platform incentives and platform power matter, even in the context of a new consumer engagement paradigm, and that (third-party) agentic commerce cannot take root if it can’t satisfy the largest retail platforms’ economic interests. Walmart’s new interaction model for third-party agentic commerce certainly supports that idea."
