THE ILLUSION OF SCIENTIFIC CONSENSUS: Does the scientific record always reflect objective reality? Or does it sometimes reflect the financial priorities of the entities funding the research?
When a multi-decade health crisis occurs, we are repeatedly told that the product was effective and safe as modifications and lighter mesh configurations were replacing older devices that was backed by "premium-tier data." But we must ask the hard question: Science for what? True independence means recognizing that when data is used to protect corporate liability instead of human lives, independent verification is our only line of defense.
