As a JAY-Z fan all my life;
1. I caught the “keep 1 eye open like CBS” line immediately. I did NOT register that he also said “SEE BS”.
2. I didn’t know the song was about paranoia, from the 1st bar to the hook, to the last bar of the song. All about paranoia.

Cinema had a good run. I'm glad I got to experience art in my lifetime. The billionaire class is so obsessed with making sure no future generations get to experience it.
Paramount has reached a settlement on the lawsuit with the 12 U.S. states and can move forward with the Warner Bros merger.
An official announcement will happen later today.

Gavin Newsom hands huge win to Trump and his billionaire cronies.
Today, billionaires have yet again bribed, censored, and bullied their way to the top. As a result, a billionaire media conglomerate closely allied with the president will soon own one of its closest rivals, including some of the nation’s most critical news outlets. Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund will co-own those outlets, too.
Layoffs will follow. People from L.A. to Atlanta will lose their jobs, small businesses will lose their contracts, your cable bill and movie ticket will be even more expensive. Dissent against money and power will be even harder to find.
This did not have to happen. Thanks to an extraordinary outpouring of grassroots anger against the merger, a coalition of 12 state attorneys general sued to block it. They beat Paramount in court, winning a court-ordered pause on the merger, and beat them again at the negotiating table, getting the conglomerate to agree to pause the merger until as late as next June.
But the Ellison family does not care about the law. Instead, they loudly threatened to leave California if their merger did not go through immediately. Gavin Newsom caved to that pressure. So did Xavier Becerra. And eventually, so did Attorney General Rob Bonta, agreeing to a weak settlement that will be exceedingly difficult to enforce.
People want champions who are not afraid of rich bullies. Newsom, Becerra, and Bonta did not meet that mark. The people who work in the film and TV industry and the small businesses who support it will suffer as a result. And so will everyone who values dissent in our democracy.
This is not the end. The coalition that fought to block this illegal merger will fight to break up big media. There is legislation pending in Congress today that would retroactively break up corrupt billionaire mergers. This industry was once marked with strict rules so that a small handful of conglomerates couldn’t own everything. There’s no reason we cannot return to that reality. There’s no reason we can’t build on it.
But today is a loss, and that loss will be felt by the people who can least afford it.

Marc Lamont Hill to Ed Sheeran: Are you crying for Palestinian babies?
I mean, what are you crying for? Are you crying for the people who are the victims of settler raids?
What are you crying for?
Are you crying for your ego? Because they're dragging you through the mud and exposing you for your political cowardice. Ah, that might be it.
Yes his impression is amazing
But no. We shouldn't be replacing Peter with someone who can do his voice.
Find new talents. Optimus can have other voices. No one can be Peter Cullen. But you can be Optimus Prime

Happy Wolverine Day! Way back in 2006, I was hired to voice Wolverine in the X-MEN OFFICIAL GAME. At the time, it was not common knowledge that voice actors like myself "voicematched" or "doubled" for headlining actors, so I'm credited as "Additional Voices". Hugh Jackman DID come in to record some dialogue for the game, but I spent a number of days recording over 1K lines as Logan--and it was a blast!. 🎬👍😎

Everyone’s really falling for the bait of turning the Macklemore situation into stan wars. “My fav did this, your fav did that” instead of asking what YOU can do individually and questioning how fucked the system is at its core. You cannot be over 18 acting like this.

Optimus Prime, Lilo and Yoda’s voices deserved to be remembered too ❤️
The Emmys honored many beloved names this year, but for cartoon/anime fans, three missing voices were impossible not to notice.
Daveigh Chase gave a generation the fearless, funny voice of Lilo in Lilo & Stitch and brought extraordinary emotion to Chihiro in the English version of Spirited Away. Her performances became part of two animated classics that millions still revisit today. She was among the notable names omitted from the televised In Memoriam segment.
Peter Cullen didn’t simply voice Optimus Prime. For more than four decades, his deep, compassionate delivery became the sound of leadership itself. He also brought warmth to Eeyore and countless other characters, eventually receiving a Children’s & Family Emmy Lifetime Achievement Award for a career that shaped generations. His absence from the broadcast was also noticed by fans.
And Tom Kane became one of animation’s great utility voices: Yoda, Professor Utonium, Admiral Yularen, the unforgettable narrator of The Clone Wars, and many more. His work stretched across cartoons, games, films and some of the biggest franchises in entertainment. Reports also noted that he was left out of the televised tribute.
The Emmys only have a few minutes to represent an entire year of loss, but that limitation doesn’t make these absences feel smaller.
They may not have appeared on the screen during the tribute, but their voices already live permanently inside the characters we grew up with. ❤️🕊️

That man filled Monotone with Hatred in a way I've never seen anyone replicate. Tom Kane nailed that delicate balance of Ultron presenting himself as an emotionless perfect machine, and right under the surface is just pure contempt and hatred for everyone around him

IMO Tom Kane’ Ultron is up there with Kevin Conroy’ Batman, Mark Hamill’ Joker, Peter Cullen’ Optimus Prime and Frank Welker’ Megatron in that he’s a definitive voice for the character, he absolutely nailed Ultron!!!
