🌸 The main theme of Powder River Blossom was based on the Powder River battle between the Native Americans and the white settlers. Sadly It was one of the only battles the Native Americans won defending their land.

🌸 I added the word 'blossom' for an old gypsy saying... that being if a blossom had fallen on someones lips they were telling a lie.

🌸 The song is about betrayal and in the end Powder River Blossom, which represents nature and also also my own self, protects herself and gains her freedom.

This is a pic of something else that refilled my Kintsugi cup, a pond in Kyoto, Japan. It was the most perfect reflection I had ever seen. You literally couldn't tell where one world stopped and the other began. It inspired the chorus lyrics in my song Powder River Blossom...

That trip was so influential as it was the start of me refilling my cup and it inspired the album's theme of Kintsugi, the Japanese artform of repairing broken pottery with gold. (Not to mention it also started my wicked collection of kimonos that I perform in!). 2/3.
