Byron Baldwin's parents once asked him, "Why Indiana?" They told him, "Indiana's not really a football school."
But the four-star safety from Baltimore already had all the answers.
Baldwin believed in Curt Cignetti and IU long before the rest. 🔗 247sports.com/college/indian… #iufb
Indiana moved up two spots to No. 4 in this week's AP Top 25 Poll after its overtime win at Michigan.
Curt Cignetti's Hoosiers have been ranked inside the AP Top 10 for 21 consecutive weeks. 🔗 247sports.com/college/indian… #iufb

GET READY, BLOOMINGTON‼️
We’re coming to your city to see the defending champ Hoosiers against the upset-minded Gophers 🙌
Bryant Haines is one of the nation's highest-paid assistants and yet, no dollar amount fully encapsulates his value to IU.
If there was, he'd have left Ann Arbor on Saturday a heck of a lot richer than he came in after IU’s defensive display. 🔗 247sports.com/college/indian… #iufb

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — He wasn’t 100 percent. He wasn't playing well. His coach thought about going to his backup. But when Indiana needed it — really, really needed it — Josh Hoover delivered to give the Hoosiers a historic victory at Michigan. #iufb

Indiana's defense turned in another A+ effort, IU's passing attack was nonexistent, and the run game competed their butts off as they escaped Ann Arbor with an overtime win.

Indiana has -3 passing yards in the second half with 10:54 to play in the fourth quarter. #iufb
Hoover gets picked off at midfield, and Michigan returns it all the way to IU's 13-yard line.
Hoover just stared down Nick Marsh the entire way. That's Hoover's first interception this season. #iufb
Tobi Osunsanmi with a grown man sack on 3rd and goal.
Then Michigan misses a chip-shot field goal. The boo birds are out in Ann Arbor after that miss.
Indiana's defense continues to be such a backbone. #iufb
Quick Halftime Thoughts:
🔴 Rough offensive showing from both teams in the first half
🔴 Hoover's struggles with timing and accuracy continue
🔴 IU's defense has really come on strong the last two games
🔴 IU's run game has added some new, effective wrinkles #iufb
Two takeaways from IU's defense today and the Hoosiers have just six points to show for it.
Just not enough complementary football being played, and it's been this way for a few weeks now. #iufb
Indiana is averaging 4.4 yards per rush after the first quarter. IU's made some pretty clear scheme adjustments with the run game today, but obviously needs to continue. #iufb
Indiana settles for a field goal despite the takeaway and terrific starting field position. Shazz Preston had a rough drive there getting set up pre-snap.
Hoosiers need to start cashing in on these red zone trips with TDs. Too much stalling out the last few games. #iufb
Two procedural penalties on Indiana's first drive, and Hoover starts 1-of-4 passing. IU is forced to punt at midfield.
The run game at least has showed signs of life, and Billy Gowers had his best punt of the season. #iufb
Coin toss captains for Indiana today are Bones Jones, Carter Smith, Tobi Osunsanmi. #iufb
I'd say it's like 70/30 Michigan to IU fans in Ann Arbor. Lots of red in the stands for a 110,000+ capacity stadium. Hoosier fans have been loud so far. #iufb
