My tweet from 10 days ago. Seems more accurate than the 'impartial' scientists and politicians who stated their confident doom-mongering opinions at the time
If Omicron is as innocuous as many experts claim it is, should we not be excited rather than scared that it's spreading with such great vitesse? If it has a zero death rate then surely the sooner it's the dominant variant here the better?

Asked SAGE to do a worst case scenario for today's dog walk. Apparently I'm going to be run over twice by cars, slide down a muddy slope, bang by head on a rock in the brook and drown. Should I go out or not? 馃槈馃

Calling a lockdown a circuit breaker to make us believe it isnt a lockdown about sums up the govt's view of its constituents. How thick do they think we are?!

So bored of the endless and tiresome dogmatic pontification by newspapers, news programmes and numerous supposedly well-informed, impartial journalists on everything to do with Covid. Ironic really, given that good journos should challenge such a questionable general narrative
Yet more needless scaremongering on #Peston. It's getting so tiresome.

Searched widely for some general good news today, maybe even something uplifting.. Found none. Just lots of power crazed incompetents slowly destroying their individual countries. The world is weary.
Would the UK rally to the cause in the same way it once did 82 years ago if the equivalent war began today? Sadly I am not convinced it would.

Hard to fathom who is talking the most, often innapropriate, bolxxxxs on tonight's question time.

An apology to @doctor_oxford.
Quite simply, anyone panic buying petrol for basic personal use right now is a gullible knob
One of life's most gentle but impactful pleasures is savouring the transition from season to season throughout the year. Covid has even managed to ruin this, preventing us from doing things that punctuate the year and highlight the wonderfully varied characters of the 4 seasons

Why is Neil Ferguson still given any airtime whatsoever? How many times do his predictions have to be so wrong before he is sent to Coventry for good? 200,000 cases daily inevitable he said; just 2 weeks ago. They are going in the opposite direction and are now about 1/8 of that!

At the risk of sounding a little old fashioned, what bright spark thought skateboarding was an appropriate Olympic sport?!
Rachel Reeves talking complete nonsense on Andrew Marr. I thought her predecessor, Annalise Dods, was pretty hopeless but her aggressive approach is even more annoying.

MP Ian Blackford could receive an unexpected cheque for 100K in the post and he'd still find the negative in it. And imagine if it was sent by an Englishman!
England were excruciatingly pathetic today. No ambition. Dom Sibley lacks real test class. Simply eeking out runs is not good enough. It wasnt a tough target by modern test standards. Fans finally back and treated with disdain.

What is this impatient obsession with jumping on a plane to go on a crappy beach holiday, just because one can? Very odd
Has the O2 banned guitars at the Brits tonight?!
I realise I'm getting old but what a load of shit the Brits are tonight. Generally dire music.
