Today is Unity Day! 🧡October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and today we’re wearing orange to send a clear message of kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Bullying is a risk factor that can increase the risk of suicide and suicidal behaviors, so every act of kindness matters. The JFI team is proud to stand together in orange. Join us! Wear orange, reach out to someone who might feel alone and speak up when you see bullying. Visit PACER.org/Bullying to learn how you can get involved. Together, we can prevent bullying. 🧡 #UnityDay #UnityEveryDay #NationalBullyingPreventionMonth #YouthSuicide

On October 5, 2026 Clark Flatt addressed the student assembly of Archbishop Hannon High School (Madisonville La) on the B1 program. Afterwards, he was presented a check for $778 from Hannon’s Senior Class Project that utilized The Jason Foundation’s B1 program. Pictured is the Hannon’s Senior Class Executive Committee. We are proud of this presentation, the work these students did,  and that Clark’s granddaughter Morgan was a big part of this project.

More than a check. More than a 5K. A community choosing to make a difference. We are incredibly grateful to the students, teachers, families, and Caldwell in Color committee at Pope John Paul II Preparatory School, who recently presented The Jason Foundation with an incredible $11,863.87 raised through this year’s Caldwell in Color 5K! Every dollar represents something bigger—the steps of a runner, the generosity of a family, the time of a volunteer, and a community coming together because they believe the lives of young people matter. For years, Caldwell in Color has supported our mission of providing youth suicide awareness and prevention programs and resources at no cost to the public. We are honored that this community continues to stand alongside us. To everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, or cheered someone on:  thank you. Your support helps us continue spreading awareness, providing resources, and reminding young people that there is always hope💙

For Suicide Prevention Month, 12 members of Borderless Arts Tennessee partnered with artist Brooke Hammond through their Pathways Project to create a piece titled “One Wheel Many Paths” presented to The Jason Foundation. Inspired by the history of the Natchez Trace, the piece resembles a Native American drum painted as a Chickasaw Medicine Wheel, hand-shaped from goat hide stretched over a carved wooden frame. Its four sections: mental, physical, emotional and spiritual represent the stages of life’s journey, each tied back to the Natchez Trace. Beyond the artistry, the message is simple: Wherever your path may lead, never give up and keep moving forward. Thank you, Borderless Arts Tennessee and Brooke Hammond, for this powerful gift and for helping raise awareness for suicide prevention. 💙

Mental Health is a crisis that has to be taken more seriously. These statistics DON'T lie, and these numbers are very disturbing. If you have a child of any age, please take a few minutes and learn the warning signs related to suicidal ideation in our at-risk youth and young adults. 4 would be too many attempts, but 4,000 in one day is astounding. We have to wake up to this epidemic. Mental illness is so real and needs real attention. Don't ever think it can't happen to your family. Suicide happens to every kind of family. Be prepared. THE STREAK CONTINUES — 3,165 DAYS AND COUNTING! Every single day. Weekends. Holidays. No exceptions. From January 1, 2018 through August 31, 2026, The Jason Foundation and our nationwide Network of Affiliate Offices provided suicide awareness and prevention training for educators EVERY DAY — 3,165 consecutive days. And the impact is extraordinary: 🎓 1,468,794 educators trained 📅 3,165 consecutive days of training 📈 Average of 464 educators trained every day ⏱️ Equivalent to one educator trained every 3.1 minutes — 24/7/365 But the real champions behind these numbers are the educators. To every teacher, counselor, administrator, and youth-serving professional who has taken the time to learn how to recognize and respond to a young person who may be struggling: THANK YOU. Your commitment can change a life. Your knowledge can help save a life. The streak is impressive. The lives behind it are what matter most.  The Jason Foundation, Inc. The Jason Foundation’s Reflection Garden is the heart of our beautiful campus in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The garden is centered around a gazebo built as part of an Eagle Scout project, and personalized engraved bricks line the walkway. The Reflection Garden serves as a peaceful place of remembrance and reflection for community members, those who have lost a loved one and suicide prevention advocates. Engraved bricks are available for purchase and serve as a focal point of the Reflection Garden. These bricks are often used to honor a loved one lost to suicide or recognize an organization or individual supporting The Jason Foundation and our mission.  Visit the link in our bio to purchase/plant a brick today.

Suicide does not happen suddenly. It often results from a buildup of stressors that can increase a young person’s anxiety, unhappiness and sense of hopelessness over time. Recognizing these stressors and practicing healthy coping strategies can help reduce stress and lower suicide risk. To learn more about suicide, risk factors or how to get involved this Suicide Prevention Month, visit JasonFoundation.com. #SuicidePreventionMonth #YouthSuicide #TheJasonFoundation
