SEC Filing Watch: SV Angel appears to have closed $330M for SV Angel Growth II, L.P.
The firm's first Growth Fund raised approximately $270M in 2022.

SEC Filing Watch: 20VC Fund III, L.P. targets as much as $400M, >2x AUM over the firm's most-recently announced pair of funds.
Best of luck to Mr. @HarryStebbings.

Scheduled Send should be built into any messaging system.
Just because I'm up late and surfing around and lacking self-control to draft a message and send it in the AM doesn't mean folks need to be subjected to it, like, **tonight**.
Microwaved take: The constrained spectrum that makes Apple Vision Pro's passthrough color rendering look flat is a feature.
You take the thing off and realize the world is suddenly vibrant and full of color.

It’s a week like this that I kinda miss being an in-the-trenches reporter.
Separately, I’m considering framing the supplement to Wired’s October 2023 issue spotlighting OpenAI. Uncannily prescient:
Congrats to @ponderdata on its exit to @SnowflakeDB! It was great having the team on Startup Row at @pycon 2023 in Salt Lake City.

Now up on @DeepgramAI: @erin_scherf and I trace the academic journey of Language AI from Turing's Imitation Game to GPT-4, in 11 papers.
So glad to have the opportunity to work with Erin again.

I'm like 3.5 hours away from being done with one of the toughest 16 months of my life. I, more or less, served as product manager and project manager for recovering from a total-loss house fire.
Tonight's the insurance receipt deadline, and I bought champagne to pop at midnight.
There's probably some blog post to write with an insufferable clickbait headline: "Why I'm Shutting Down My 6-Figure Data Labeling and Procurement Side Hustle"
But that's for another day.
I'm thankful for cloud backups.
I had my phone set up on the ledge of my terrace for some time lapse photography. (dumb, I know) Well, there was a gust of wind, and my phone fell 6 stories onto concrete.
2 hours after buying a new phone, it's like that never even happened.
Congrats to current @DeepgramAI Research intern Ben Luks for taking the time to submit his article about using LLMs for generating food recipes to @bugcounter and @benjaminchapman's "Risky or Not" podcast!
I really like how this episode turned out and love the DALL·E show art. I'm a big fan of Jean Giraud (Moebius). Surprising split with @benjaminchapman riskyornot.co/episodes/459-a…
Listen to the podcast episode and try it all out for yourself, but not before reading Ben's article, which can be found here: blog.deepgram.com/the-what-w…
LLMs dominate the discourse because they can seemingly do basically anything with text inputs and outputs. How long will that be true?
