As the #pythonus talks conclude and most people return home, I reflect on the old friends I’ve reunited with and the new friends made, I’m left with a question… is it Pyth-ON, Pyth-IN, or Pyth-UN? 🤷

PyLadies raised $60,000 at last nights auction. 🐍👧 Here’s how it compares to past years. #pyconus

Data pipelines open space got moved to 3pm, room 321, to allow people time for lunch. Come talk about ETL tooling, share war stories, make friends. DuckDB open space follows it, which seems fitting. #pyconus

The best part of #pycon is meeting new people. I’ve been trying to think of good ice breaker questions. Today is the last day of tutorial, but “what tutorial are you taking?” Once talks begin, “what talks have you seen?” “What was your favorite talk?” (Of any PyCon not just 2024)

In the 10+ years of going to #PyConUS the things I remember most are the Pac-Man circle and “remember, ask your question in the form of a question”.

Hey @__AlexMonahan__ I was chatting with Rob who organizes @ChicagoCppUsers and if you’re ever in Chicago it would be cool to to talk about @duckdb to Cpp ppl. There’s always a need to do data analysis and the icing on the cake is hacking on your OLAP tools.

Stickers common conference swag. I got this a while ago, it’s one of my favorite Python stickers. From the Python2 EOL party in Japan. @terapyon @pyconjptv #PyConUS2022

It’s a total #PyConUS2022 moment when two people you met earlier in the conference @jessiedotjs @vickumar1981 is randomly in the same talk as you and you both tweet the exact same slide of a presentation @peacock0803sz

Lots of tweets about @pwang demo of Python in HTML but they miss a key point, it’s not solely about running in the bowser, it’s throwing down the gauntlet in a battle to become the language for the next generation and millions who don’t call themselves programmers. #PyConUS2022

Was looking at books can came across this @dabeaz book. It combines my love of drinking and #Python so it is a sure hit. But how does it have 28 reviews despite not being released? #spoileralert the reviews are years old and for the Essential Reference?!?!
