I've been a @Meetup member for over 20 years but it is TRASH since @BendingSpoons acquired it. Desperately needs a good alternative; Heylo's almost exclusively running-clubs & has bad discoverability, Partiful's no good for groups. People are craving in-person connection again.

I work with some folks in Ukraine and Putin's ongoing atrocities against their country are awful and insane. Yesterday Russia attacked Ukranian cities with a new wave of missiles, causing blackouts, 19 dead, 105 injured. cnn.com/2022/10/10/europe/uk… Terrorism, plain and simple.
Wow. Huge tech companies having no accountability or transparent appeals process for user bans has become such a problem, it looks like there's now a whole cottage industry of 3rd parties trying to spam (and scam?) people it happens to.
