Remember back in the good old days when you used to have to give all your mates your Friend Code for each individual Nintendo title you owned? It's beginning to feel a bit like that again.

I get why the design of the Hylian Shield changed starting with Twilight Princess, but I really am against the homogenisation of the design. They did the same thing with Link's Awakening 2019 and I didn't like it then.

I can forgive ALBW/BotW/TotK using the Skyward design because, okay, there's only one of those shields in the game (usually), so it can be the same relic from SS. But the whole point of the shields in OoT and ALttP was that they were standard-issue shields for Hylian Knights.

It makes sense that the design wouldn't be a 1:1 with the Skyward Sword one and that the design would vary between different eras. Heraldry changes in the real world over the years. Shapes of shields change too. All in all, it's a bit dull if there's less variety.
