“Black people in America have long set the blueprints the country has used to build her freedoms,” writes Brittany Packnett Cunningham. “November 3, 2026, must go down in history as a day our blueprints were animated yet again — to the benefit of people of every hue.”
During this year's Midterms, 91 percent of Black voters cast their ballots for Democrats. Exit polls found that 86 percent of Black male voters and 93 percent of Black female voters supported Democratic candidates and causes, compared with 45 percent of white male voters and 52 percent of white female voters.
At the link below, Cunningham explores how Black-led grassroots organizations were essential in Tuesday’s Blue Wave — and how you can support their work going forward.

A bunch of Black & Brown girls were dancing on stage last night. In front of my campaign sign. They saw a Black Woman get close to the U.S. Senate seat from Florida.
They’re going to grow up knowing it’s possible to win! Florida will always be worth fighting for.

When En Vogue hit SNL in March 1992, they dismantled the myth that girl groups couldn’t sing full-throttle live in heels. Trading leads across Cindy, Dawn, Terry, and Maxine, their dynamic control remained untouchable—from Dawn’s raspy rock bite to Terry’s operatic belts. When they converged on the hook, their four-part harmonies locked in with their blend and zero backing tape. The album dropped 3 days later, proving to themselves and to the world just how Funky, these Divas really are.
