My mom is going into surgery today for severe spinal stenosis. I’m canceling my travel plans so I can stay and help take care of things. Any well wishes, positive vibes, or prayers for her are appreciated!
Missed my chance to meet @CodyRhodes after the twitch rivals event, but it was still awesome seeing him on the blue carpet. One of these days I’ll get to go another WWE event. Haven’t been to one since No Way Out 2004. That being said… Highly recommend every Street Fighter fan go see the movie! #StreetFighterMovie
Got an official movie poster framed with my world premiere ticket in it! #StreetFighterMovie
Always will love his movies! He was a fucking legend.
Addams Family and Street Fighter Star Raúl Juliá Passed Away 32 Years Ago at Just 54 🎬🕊️
Remembering a true legend 🙏
Raúl Juliá could move effortlessly between intense drama, larger-than-life comedy, and unforgettable villains. For many fans, he remains the definitive Gomez Addams, bringing enormous charm, romance, and theatrical energy to The Addams Family and Addams Family Values.
His career stretched far beyond the Addams mansion. Juliá earned acclaim as Valentín Arregui in Kiss of the Spider Woman, portrayed Archbishop Óscar Romero in Romero, and played environmental activist Chico Mendes in The Burning Season. One of his final film roles became another cult favorite: General M. Bison in Street Fighter.
Some of his memorable roles include
• Gomez Addams — The Addams Family / Addams Family Values
• General M. Bison — Street Fighter
• Valentín Arregui — Kiss of the Spider Woman
• Archbishop Óscar Romero — Romero
• Chico Mendes — The Burning Season
• Alejandro “Sandy” Stern — Presumed Innocent
• Roberto Strausmann — Moon Over Parador
• Carlos / Comandante Xavier Escalante — Tequila Sunrise
• Dr. Victor Frankenstein — Frankenstein Unbound
• Strom — The Rookie
• Franco Bertollini — The Gumball Rally
• Michael Reisler — Eyes of Laura Mars
• Kalibanos — Tempest
• Ray — One from the Heart
• Detective David Suarez — Compromising Positions
Juliá’s final years showed just how wide his range could be, moving from Gomez Addams’ joyful eccentricity to Chico Mendes’ real-life courage and M. Bison’s outrageous villainy.
Thirty-two years after his passing at 54, Raúl Juliá remains remembered as a magnetic performer whose passion and commanding presence made every character feel larger than the screen. 🎬🕊️
