I don't think this is the question. I don't care how creative you are, you can't turn 4 nickels into a dollar in the amount of time Steph has left. 5 years of failure ain't getting washed away in 1 season.
This. The moment they won the 2022 Championship they should have recognized that Steph still had it and gone all in on vets in or entering their prime. Wiseman, JK and Poole and every draft pick through 2028 should have been on the table.

This is entirely fair. He weighed the single team legacy against joining a real NBA team and chose to stay home with his cohort of replacement level players. No sympathy necessary.
What's the point of not winning though? A draft pick? They're 5 moves from competing even if Steph is healthy. They have no assets that anyone values aside from post Steph draft picks. If they're trying to lose this year then they're trying to lose for the next 5 at least.
