Diving is cheating because you’re abusing the referee’s intelligence and disrespecting the opposition without consequence. There’s absolutely NOTHING wrong with what Valverde did here as there was no intention to deceive anyone and he suffered the inevitable consequences for it

Valverde is the latest in a long line of really good Real Madrid centre mids, but there's no way I can get behind this kind of thing. If we celebrate tackles like this to 'win' games, we need to start celebrating diving to win penalties and play acting to encourage red cards.
