London was founded by the Romans in 47 AD. So in 23 years (2047) I think we should have a huge 2000th birthday party. Not many major world cities with a continuous name can say that.

We changed the Scotland map in The National's masthead for the first time today 🗞️ You may have seen 85-year-old Harry Young's incredible rock map of Scotland. We have incorporated it into our masthead, just for today's edition, as we recognise the incredible 28-year project!

We changed our masthead thanks to an 85-year-old Scottish grandad

My grandpa who is 85 started making this rock map of Scotland in 1992.He collected rocks during amateur geology trips over 30 years. He says it had to be geologically correct and also aesthetically pleasing.He asked if I could share online as He wants to go viral so please share
