B1G Team Grades - Week 8 (with quick report) Illinois A- To get down 10-0 and then comeback shows that Beetle is still the man for this program. The rushing attack popped & Clayton II didn’t hurt his team. Indiana B+ Win your stinkers. No, Hoover wasn’t great, but that Michigan Defense is. The Hoosiers fought through it all and kept themselves alive for everything. Iowa D Not sure I’ve seen the ball carriers on an Iowa team play sloppier. Not a worse grade because the Defense (mostly) played their tails off, and almost pulled it out on the road. Gotta move on fast. Maryland IDLE Michigan D That’s a great Hoosier team, so no worse grade. The Defense is officially Elite, but the Offense may be the exact opposite. The GL play calling was thoroughly odd. Michigan St D It’s just tough going right now for Sparty. IDK what else to say. Minnesota B+ Did what they needed to do get the Win in a hard fought game. IDK what Gopher team to expect week to week, but this week’s version was enuf to get the 🐖 Nebraska IDLE Northwestern A- I think the Wildcats have gotten to the point where they get bored! Up 28-3, Rutgers got back into the game 28-14… but the Chip-&-Chiles Show closed it out. (But where are the fans at The NeRF?!?) Ohio St IDLE Oregon F Just an utter lack of ability to put points on the board after moving the ball well. Even the Defense showed cracks yesterday. Penn St IDLE Purdue IDLE Rutgers D- Showed some fight, but I’m not sure where the wins are coming from this year. UCLA A- Just a workmanlike performance. The rushing attack works against almost everyone. The Defense is arguably the most impressive turn around in the B1G. USC F Yikes. -17 yards rushing is tough to pull off. It can’t be all on Maiava every game. The heat is back on for Lincoln. Washington IDLE Wisconsin B+ Huge W for Fickle. The rushing defense is elite. The passing defense ain’t bad either. The offense is searching for an identity, but the whole team plays hard.

I don’t feel any better today about that Hawk loss. The only comfort I take is we couldn’t have played any worse, but still had a good chance to win w about 2 mins to go. Look around CFB. These inexplicable losses are happening to everyone. Have to flush it and beat the Badgers
