When I contact you at 9:00 at night after Iโve been there for two hours to ask if Iโm just overlooking where it may be, DO NOT tell me youโre happy to give me directions to the nearest store, or youโre getting one star. I never eat scrambled eggs at hotels. Omelettes made in front of me or hard boiled or poached or fried.
The scrambled eggs at a hotel breakfast are 19% water, and they're dyed.
A lot of hotels and cafeterias pour them from a carton of Papetti's Breakfast Blend. The spec sheet reads whole eggs, 19% water, then under 2% of salt, xanthan gum, citric acid, annatto color and natural butter flavor. Papetti's is part of Michael Foods, one of the biggest egg processors in the country.
Every ingredient has a job on a steam table. Xanthan gum holds the added water in the egg so it doesn't weep into the pan. Citric acid keeps the eggs from turning gray or green under a heat lamp. Annatto puts back the yolk color the water washed out. The butter flavor is there because nobody is going to add butter. The carton keeps for 98 days in the cooler.
The plain version from the same company is whole eggs, whey, skim milk, xanthan and citric acid, with almost no added water and half the sodium.

Some Airbnb hosts expect guests to wash dishes, do laundry, and start the washing machine themselves. So youโre trusting a random guestโs cleaning standards for the next guest? And then charging a cleaning fee on top of that? Paying extra to clean up after myself while knowing the place might not even be professionally cleaned is ridiculous. This is exactly why I stopped trusting Airbnb.

One day, I went on a fantastic date with a guy who was my height: 5'7".
He mentioned that dating as a short guy was hard. I sympathized.

And I'm sure he didn't.
But it doesn't matter. The point still stands: when your insecurity about yourself comes out as friendly fire at someone who actually likes you, you need to get over it.
And even before that, I'd been annoyed.
We dated for 4 months, so as he continued complaining, the message I received was simple: me liking him wasn't enough.
What he wanted was the access to women other men had, and one girl liking him sure as hell didn't fix that!

Someone hacked my uncles Charles Schwab account and sold 49k of his stocks on Friday. Luckily he caught it on Monday morning and they were able to freeze the funds in time. Charles Schwab is trying to tell him that he must have shared his password or fell for a fishing
scam. Then the thieves tried to transfer the remaining funds to an account in Palm Springs. Looks like Schwab has been breached. And they are blaming their customers.
