Covid update:
#PurpleVet is the only veterinary surgery open in Rothwell - Help us stay open.
We can now only allow one client at a time, who must be masked, into the consulting rooms.
By protecting us, we can protect your pets.

We've had many enquiries regarding donating to #PurpleVetFoodBank If you can provide a small bag of cat or dog food it will be gratefully received by us and all parties involved - especially the pets.
Get the message out there - #PurpleVet will not let Rothwell's pets go hungry.

We are getting a good uptake from #purplevetfoodbank but we need to get the message out to as many as we can.
Please let those in need of some help know where we are, the food is free.
Our door is open between 9am & 11am, and again between 3pm and 5pm.

Purple Vet has told the local food-bank that they can use the food, that our clients have generously donated, to help their clients. Of course, one doesn't have to be a Purple Vet client to use our food bank. We are all in this together.

Government to ease lockdown restrictions next week, which should be fine as it’s not like we had 6,111 new cases yesterday.

Am I the only one who thinks it would be absolutely crazy to lift the lockdown next week? There are still hundreds of daily deaths and if lifting the lockdown will just cause a second peak of infections and deaths #KeepTheLockdown

Contrary to the BBC report:
There is absolutely no evidence of cats or dogs ever having passed Corona Virus to a human. The probability of this happening is statistically ZERO.
You can let your cats go outdoors.
We would always recommend hand washing after handling your pets.
